About this role
Role Overview: Looking for a versatile, self-driven Enterprise Cybersecurity Pre-Sales & Engineering Consultant with hands-on expertise in at least one core cybersecurity domain, including Data Security, Identity Security, AI Security, or Infrastructure Security. The role will be instrumental in building and scaling Ascendion's Cybersecurity Practice through cybersecurity proposition and offering development, pre-sales engagement, solution consulting, and ownership of key delivery responsibilities. Key Responsibilities Cybersecurity Pre-sales (Global)
- Engage with Ascendion’s global sales teams to understand client cybersecurity needs and develop tailored solutions.
- Lead client discussions, assess client requirements, and draft compelling proposals aligned to business needs.
- Lead solution conceptualization, solutioning and value proposition development for client opportunities.
- Own RFP/RFI/RFQ responses, proposals, presentations, and solution documents.
- Develop solution architecture, scope, effort estimates, commercials, and implementation approaches in collaboration with Delivery/Engineering teams.
- Create end to end compelling technical and business proposals aligned to client objectives.
- Conduct client workshops, discovery sessions and solution presentations/demos.
- Support Sales in deal strategy, client negotiations and closure.
Cybersecurity competency development
- Stay current with cybersecurity trends, threats, technologies, and market developments to advise clients and strengthen service offerings.
- Engage in Ascendion relationships with OEMs for Cybersecurity
- Create point-of-view documents and solution narratives for cybersecurity pursuits.
- Create reusable solution assets, case studies, accelerators and industry-specific propositions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to enhance Ascendion’s cybersecurity offerings and integrate them into the broader services portfolio.
- Support thought leadership initiatives through presentations, articles, white papers, and other outreach materials.
Cybersecurity competency internal management
- Partner with Ascendion’s global sales network to identify and generate cybersecurity opportunities.
- Work closely with Ascendion’s Global Sales and Talent Acquisition teams to fulfil cybersecurity skill requirements for clients.
- Identify opportunities for cross-sell, upsell and expansion within existing accounts.
- Assist with vendor and OEM relationship management.
- Undertake practice internal process management work involving co-ordination with Sales, Delivery and Management
- Undertake overall competency reporting related work for higher management
Competencies
- Excellent proposal writing skills for cybersecurity pursuits across consulting and managed services.
- Strong pre-sales and consulting experience in the cybersecurity domain.
- Excellent understanding of enterprise-wide cybersecurity toolsets, capabilities and governance
- Ability to estimate effort, define delivery approaches, and support commercial inputs for cybersecurity propositions.
- Experience positioning cybersecurity solutions across Data Security, AI, IAM, cloud security, EDR, network security, SOC, GRC, data privacy, and related areas.
- Knowledge of frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST CSF, CIS Controls, PCI DSS, HIPAA, AI RMF
- Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and executive presentation skills.
- Experience handling RFP/RFI/RFQ and large/complex deal pursuits.
- Strong client-facing and consultative skills like presentation, storytelling and communications skills.
- Good understanding of estimation, commercials, pricing and deal constructs.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and negotiation capabilities.
Preferred Technology Exposure Experience in one or more of the following would be desirable: Cloud | AI/ML & GenAI | Data & Analytics | Digital Engineering | Enterprise Applications | APIs & Microservices | DevOps | Cybersecurity | Modernization Qualifications
- Mandatory Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security or Computer Science or a closely related discipline. MBA/PGDM is an added advantage.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Lead Auditor, or equivalent are preferred.
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in cybersecurity consulting, advisory, pre-sales, or solutioning roles.
- At least 4–6 years of experience delivering cybersecurity projects for global clients.
