About this role
At DP World, we are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Payroll Assistant to join our HR team in Győr. In this role, you will support the smooth and accurate delivery of our monthly payroll processes and provide day-to-day payroll and HR administration support in a large-scale blue-collar operational environment.
You will work closely with the HR team, managers, Finance and our external payroll partner, ensuring that employee and payroll data is accurate, complete and processed on time. You will also provide hands-on support to employees with payroll-related questions, documentation and general HR administration matters.
Responsibilities:
- Support the preparation of the monthly payroll by collecting, recording, checking and submitting payroll-related data and documentation.
- Review and reconcile working time and absence data, including holidays, sick leave, overtime, shift allowances, public holiday work and other payroll-related information.
- Actively support the monthly payroll closing process and follow up on missing or incorrect information with the relevant departments.
- Support payroll administration for new joiners and leavers and maintain accurate employee master data.
- Process payroll-related changes, including salary changes, working hours, work schedules, bank details and tax declarations.
- Support the administration of bonuses, premiums, wage garnishments, deductions and other payroll-related items.
- Handle and track sick pay, social security and other payroll-related documents.
- Prepare employment, income and other employee certificates and support employees with day-to-day payroll and HR administration matters.
- Respond to employee queries regarding payroll and related HR administration, including direct support to blue-collar employees.
- Support the administration of cafeteria and other employee benefits.
- Maintain accurate HR and payroll records and prepare regular and ad hoc reports.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing payroll and HR administration documentation.
- Handle personal and payroll data confidentially and in line with GDPR and DP World policies.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Higher education degree, preferably in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
- Previous experience in payroll administration, preferably gained in a large-scale blue-collar, manufacturing, logistics or other operational environment.
- Hands-on experience in employee administration and day-to-day employee support, including payroll-related queries, documentation and certificates.
- Good understanding of payroll processes, time and attendance administration, absences, overtime, shift allowances and other payroll-related inputs.
- Knowledge of Hungarian labour law and social security regulations.
- Experience in supporting joiner and leaver administration and maintaining accurate employee data.
- Confident user of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience with NEXON Payroll and/or Time & Attendance systems would be a strong advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to handle a high volume of employee and payroll data.
- Good organisational and problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
- Employee-focused and confident communication style, with the ability to support blue-collar employees with payroll and HR administration queries.
- Responsible and discreet approach when handling confidential employee and payroll information.
- English and/or German language skills are an advantage
