Role Purpose
The Site Supply Chain Leader is responsible for leading end-to-end supply chain operations for the Pipan biosimilars drug substance manufacturing site. This role ensures reliable, compliant, and cost-effective material flow to support manufacturing, clinical, and commercial supply requirements.
The position provides leadership across planning and scheduling, warehouse operations, capacity management, and inventory control, while aligning plant execution with business and global supply chain priorities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Site Supply Chain Leadership
- Lead all site supply chain activities from material receipt to drug substance dispatch.
- Act as the primary supply chain lead for Pipan plant at site and cross-functional governance forums.
- Convert business and global supply requirements into practical site execution plans.
- Ensure supply chain priorities are aligned with manufacturing, quality, regulatory, and procurement functions.
2. Planning, Scheduling, and Execution
- Lead production planning and scheduling to ensure smooth execution and optimal use of plant capacity.
- Manage batch schedules in line with manufacturing timelines, material availability, and customer commitments.
- Drive high schedule adherence, on-time batch completion, and right-first-time execution.
- Respond proactively to demand changes, process constraints, and operational disruptions.
3. Capacity Management
- Own site capacity planning and scenario analysis for clinical, launch, and commercial programs.
- Work with Manufacturing, MSAT, and Engineering to identify bottlenecks and improve capacity.
- Support scale-up, new product introduction, and process changes from a supply chain perspective.
4. Warehouse and Material Management
- Lead GMP warehouse operations covering raw materials, consumables, intermediates, and temperature-controlled storage.
- Ensure compliant material receipt, storage, handling, sampling coordination, segregation, and traceability.
- Oversee inbound and outbound logistics to maintain uninterrupted plant operations.
5. Inventory Control
- Own site inventory strategy for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
- Balance service levels, inventory health, and working capital requirements.
- Ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counts, reconciliation, expiry monitoring, and control processes.
- Drive actions for slow-moving, excess, obsolete, and at-risk inventory.
6. Compliance, Quality, and Risk Management
- Ensure all supply chain activities comply with GMP, GDP, EHS, and company standards.
- Support regulatory inspections, internal audits, and quality reviews as the site supply chain representative.
- Identify supply risks proactively and lead mitigation plans related to materials, suppliers, and internal operations.
7. Stakeholder Management
- Partner closely with Manufacturing, Quality, MSAT, Regulatory, Procurement, and Global Supply Chain teams.
- Work with external suppliers, logistics partners, and service providers to strengthen supply continuity.
8. Team Leadership

Qualification & Experience
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Pharmacy, Supply Chain, or related field.
- MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
Experience:
- 16–18+ years of progressive supply chain experience in biologics, biosimilars, vaccines, or large-molecule pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- Strong experience in site supply chain leadership within GMP-regulated manufacturing environments.
- Good understanding of drug substance manufacturing and batch-process operations.
- Experience supporting clinical to commercial supply transitions is preferred.
