About this role

Start date: February 2027 · Duration: 6 months

How hard can it be to rebuild an entire website from its source code, with a new brand identity and the latest web frameworks, while keeping all its features? Today, AI coding agents can accelerate individual tasks, but a reliable, fully autonomous rewrite remains a challenge.

In this 6-month internship or master thesis starting in February 2027, within ELCA's Digital Agency, you will prototype a specification-driven AI framework for complete website rewrites. The team of agents will analyse the source code, document the existing behaviour, plan a new architecture and build a new codebase in the chosen language and stack, with the same features and new branding. You will also explore how to verify that the rebuilt site preserves every feature, how agents detect regressions and improve through iterations, and how to define working rules, monitor progress and optimize token usage.

Your tasks

- Review agent frameworks and specification-driven approaches; define the target stack and rebranding brief
- Generate specifications and acceptance tests from the source website to capture the behaviour that must be preserved
- Prototype a team of agents that plans and builds a new codebase in the target language, with shared context and autonomous task coordination
- Explore and prototype approaches to iterative self-verification, assessing how well agents detect and correct functional and branding gaps
- Define guardrails and quality gates; track agent actions, progress and test results through monitoring

What we offer

- A dynamic, collaborative workplace with a highly motivated, multicultural team working across international sites
- The chance to make a difference in people's lives by building innovative solutions
- Internal coding events such as Hackathons and Brownbag sessions, plus our technical blog
- Monthly After-Works organized at each location

About your profile
