Baptist Health is seeking a Nurse Manager to lead the Main Operating Room at Baptist Downtown Jacksonville.

Key responsibilities include leading nursing and support staff, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to achieve organizational goals, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards. The Nurse Manager is accountable for workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, staff development, and retention initiatives that foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

Essential Responsibilities

- Provide 24/7 operational and clinical leadership for the Main Operating Room
- Ensure the delivery of safe, efficient, and patient-centered care.
- Build, mentor, and develop a highly engaged nursing team focused on clinical excellence.
- Recruit, hire, onboard, train, and evaluate nursing staff while promoting professional growth and continuing education.
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing leaders, and interdisciplinary teams to achieve organizational and patient care goals.
- Monitor quality metrics and implement data-driven performance improvement initiatives.
- Manage staffing, scheduling, productivity, and departmental fiscal performance.
- Address patient and family concerns in a timely and effective manner while supporting efforts to improve patient satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and standards established by accrediting organizations, including The Joint Commission and CMS.
- Demonstrate strong leadership, communication, conflict resolution, decision-making, and financial management skills.

Preferred Experience

- 3–5 years of Surgical Services nursing leadership experience.

Education & Credential Requirements

- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) – Required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification – Required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification – Required
