Meet the Team

Join Cisco’s Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Center of Excellence (CoE) in Bangalore. The Global FP&A CoE supports regional and global Finance organizations through performance reporting, business analysis, forecasting, planning, and decision support .

In this role, you will work as part of the Finance team supporting the Regional Sales and Services organizations and Business Entities , providing accurate financial information, actionable insights, and analytical support to enable better business decisions.

Your Impact

As a Financial Analyst , you will support periodic financial performance reporting, business metric tracking, forecasting, planning, and decision analysis. You will partner closely with Finance Business Partners and business stakeholders to provide timely, accurate, and consistent financial information.

You will take ownership of recurring reports and analyses, identify trends and business issues, and contribute to process improvements that increase the efficiency and effectiveness of FP&A operations.

What You’ll Do

You will generate financial reports, business analyses, and models based on business requirements to support regional and global Finance processes.

You will prepare and distribute timely and accurate financial information to support business planning, forecasting, and decision-making , ensuring data is controlled, consistent, and appropriately validated.

You will take ownership of ongoing reporting activities, including validation, documentation, and communication of insights to business partners.

You will perform scenario analysis and financial planning to support business decisions, approvals, and key initiatives.

You will support organizational expense and headcount reporting, bookings, revenue and margin analysis , as well as OPEX management activities including purchase requisition approvals and accruals for assigned regions and Business Entities.

You will act as a primary Finance contact for designated business partners, providing timely advice, reporting, and analysis to support business performance.

You will work as an extended member of the Business Finance Partner team, developing a strong understanding of the underlying business and providing relevant analytical insights.

You will support management decision-making by identifying key trends, business issues, opportunities, and performance drivers .

You will identify opportunities for process improvement, reporting automation, and analytical enhancement and share recommendations with CoE leadership.

Who You’ll Work With

You will collaborate closely with the Global FP&A CoE, Finance Business Partners, Regional Sales and Services teams, Business Entity Finance teams, and cross-functional and regional stakeholders across Cisco.

Who You Are

You are a proactive, analytical, and forward-thinking Finance professional with strong business-partnering skills and a focus on delivering results.

You are comfortable working with financial data, developing reports and models, analyzing business performance, and translating financial information into meaningful insights. You are able to work effectively across functions and regions while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce , or a related field.
- CA , ICWA, CMA preferred, with 1+ years of relevant experience .
- Strong understanding of Finance and Accounting concepts.
- General understanding of periodic performance reporting, annual and quarterly OPEX budgeting and planning, and month-end accounting .
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Working knowledge of finance and reporting systems such as Business Objects, Essbase , or equivalent tools.
- Strong analytical and systems skills.
- Excellent communication, partnering, influencing, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional and regional teams .
- High level of ownership, integrity, and drive for results.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience working within a large multinational organization .
- Experience with Excel Macros and automation.
- Database knowledge and experience working with large financial datasets .
- Ability to create Excel-based automation, financial models, and analytical solutions .
- Experience connecting Excel to external databases .
- Strong data analytics capabilities that can be applied to FP&A models and business decision support .
- Experience identifying opportunities to simplify and automate finance processes .
