About the role:
The EUDR Trading Support Analyst is responsible for analyzing traceability data from third-party suppliers to assess EUDR compliance of cocoa products and palm oil. The role supports supplier risk assessments and provides operational support to the trading team, reporting to the Head of EUDR Trading Support.
Key responsibilities include:
- The EUDR Trading Support Analyst supports the annual supplier risk assessments for suppliers attributed to the team ensuring timely completion of all required activities:
Launching supplier risk assessments for all suppliers in scope.
- Supplier interaction and follow ups.
- Collaborate with other BC functions such as Responsible Sourcing team to allow timely completion of the annual assessments.
- The EUDR Trading Support Analyst is responsible for the timely upload of all polygons, farmer, DDS and batch data that are provided by Third party suppliers to BC before contracting and shipment/arrival of goods:
Review data submissions for completeness and quality before upload.
- Upload supplier data into designated systems in accordance with established procedures.
- Follow up with suppliers to resolve data quality issues and missing information.
- Collaborate with Thriving Nature and other internal teams to support deforestation assessments and EUDR compliance checks. Support the team in Supplier interaction and follow ups.
- Escalate data issues, delays, and risks to the Head of EUDR Trading Support.
- The EUDR Trading Support Analyst supports the assessment and confirmation to Third party suppliers EUDR readiness for planned shipments/deliveries to BC premises:
Review batch assessment results and supporting documentation.
- Communicate shipment readiness status and assessment outcomes to suppliers and relevant sourcing stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain, factory teams, and other stakeholders to support timely shipment processing and goods receipt.
- Support the resolution of shipment exceptions and compliance-related issues.
- Escalate non-compliance risks and critical shipment issues to the Head of EUDR Trading Support.
- The EUDR Trading Support Analyst is supports - on request - the Regional Combined Ratio WE team:
Manage document collection and support commercial assessment for the Supplier Approval Process.
- Collect and analyze data for Supplier Evaluation process.
- Coordinate and support the handling of non-conformity process.
- Support administration of Sourcing contracts.
- Ensure effective collaboration with other BC functions such as Global Supplier quality team to timely approve and evaluate suppliers.
About you:
- Fluent English, both written and spoken. Additional languages such as French or Spanish are considered an advantage.
- 2-3 years’ experience in data analysis, GIS, traceability, sustainability, supply chain, or a related field.
- Experience working with large datasets, data validation, and data quality management.
- Knowledge of analytical tools, including advanced Excel and SQL.
- Experience with GIS software (QGIS, ArcGIS, or similar geospatial analysis tools) is a plus.
- Understanding of supply chain traceability, sustainability, due diligence, or regulatory compliance processes.
- Experience in cocoa, agricultural commodities, or food supply chains is considered an advantage
