ABOUT UOB INNOVATION HUB 2
UOB Innovation Hub 2 (InnoHub2) is a UOB-wholly owned subsidiary and a Centre of Excellence based in Malaysia, providing Group Business Services (GBS) to support the UOB Group. Started in 2021 with technology application design, development and support, InnoHub2 is expanding beyond technology services to deliver other business services to support the Bank’s growth ambition. Key Responsibilities
- Gather and analyze user requirements for dashboard, monitoring, and reporting enhancements.
- Design, develop, and maintain operational dashboards and monitoring solutions based on business and technical requirements.
- Create, modify, and optimize queries to extract, analyze, and present data for business and operational reporting.
- Develop reports and analytics that provide actionable insights into system performance, availability, and operational health.
- Support and administer enterprise monitoring tools such as Splunk and Geneos .
- Troubleshoot monitoring alerts, dashboard discrepancies, and reporting-related issues.
- Participate in system implementation, enhancement, testing, and deployment activities.
- Ensure compliance with organizational standards, governance, and audit requirements.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, user guides, and operational procedures.
- To identify area of monitoring coverage to be improved; and work with relevant teams to enable monitoring solution to improve monitoring coverage.
- To identify area of triage efficiency to be improved; and work with relevant teams to implement solution to improve triage efficiency.
- To identify area of automation of service recovery ability to be improved; and work with relevant teams to implement solution to automate service recovery ability.
- To work with various stakeholders (i.e., service automation, level 2 (group) and level 3 production support etc) to implement application monitoring, service end-to-end dashboard, and automation of service recovery.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 6-9 years of experience in application support, system monitoring, reporting, or related IT operations roles.
- Hands-on experience with Splunk , including dashboard creation, search processing language (SPL), alerts, and reporting.
- Knowledge on enterprise tools, i.e., MQ, Connect Direct, Control M etc
- Familiarity with enterprise application monitoring such as Geneos, Elastic Search, Grafana and operational support environments.
- Good understanding of ITIL Incident Management and Change Management processes.
- Good understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) process .
- Strong SQL/query-writing skills and experience working with reporting and analytics tools.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Good analytic and problem-solving skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and weekend / wee hours.
Preferred Skills (Added Advantage)
- Familiarity with one or more of the following platforms: IBM AS/400 (iSeries)
- Open Systems (Windows/Linux/Unix)
- Mainframe environments
- Having Knowledge of Ansible automation and configuration management will be an advantage.
- Having experience with VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) technologies will be an advantage.
- Having knowledge of Java and application servers ( JBOSS, Weblogic ) will be an added advantage.
- Having knowledge of web servers ( Apache, nginx etc ) will be added advantage.
- Having knowledge of Load Balancer, VM, Network, Storage, OpenShift, MicroServices is plus point.
- Having Knowledge of CyberArk privileged access management solutions will be an advantage.
- Exposure to scripting and automation technologies (e.g., Shell Script, Python, PowerShell ).
- Experience in banking, financial services, or a large enterprise IT environment.
