General Manager of Manufacturing Atit India
The General Manager of Manufacturing is responsible for leading and optimizing all manufacturing and operational functions at the Atit facility, ensuring the safe, efficient, and profitable production of IHP, FHP, Scroll, CDU, and HP product lines in Atit India. This role provides strategic and operational leadership across Production, Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME), Manufacturing Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, Safety, and Master Scheduling to deliver business objectives in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and People Development.
The incumbent will drive operational excellence, capacity expansion, productivity improvements, employee engagement, continuous improvement initiatives, and talent development while maintaining compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all manufacturing operations across IHP, FHP, Scroll, CDU, and HP production lines.
- Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with business growth, productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction objectives.
- Drive operational performance through effective management of KPIs including Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Inventory, Productivity, and Employee Engagement.
- Ensure manufacturing capacity and resources are aligned with business demand and growth plans.
- Lead daily operational reviews and establish accountability for performance improvement actions.
- Champion a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with all company, customer, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure robust quality systems, problem-solving methodologies, and corrective action processes are implemented and sustained.
- Drive reductions in defects, customer complaints, scrap, rework, and warranty costs.
- Lead Advanced Manufacturing Engineering teams in developing scalable, efficient, and standardized manufacturing processes.
- Support new product introductions, capacity expansions, process validations, and manufacturing readiness.
- Lead preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime and asset utilization.
- Oversee Master Scheduling processes to ensure alignment between customer demand, production capacity, inventory, and material availability.
- Partner closely with Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, and Customer Service teams to achieve delivery commitments.
- Build a high-performing operations organization through leadership, coaching, and succession planning.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and employee empowerment.
- Lead positive and constructive relationships with union representatives and employee committees.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, collective bargaining agreements, and company policies.
- Partner with HR to address workforce challenges, employee relations matters, and organizational effectiveness initiatives.
- Support effective management and development of the hourly workforce while maintaining a positive employee relations environment.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and operational excellence initiatives.
- Establish a culture of continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making throughout operations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 10+ years of manufacturing leadership experience, including leadership of multiple operational functions.
- Significant experience managing large-scale manufacturing operations in a high-volume industrial environment.
- Demonstrated success leading Production, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain interfaces, and Operational Excellence initiatives.
- Experience managing unionized and hourly workforces preferred.
- Proven experience leading organizational transformation, capacity expansion, and continuous improvement programs.
