Test Integration Engineer II | Pune, India | Full-time
If you are experienced in system integration, testing, and troubleshooting of complex
automation systems, this is an opportunity to take ownership of testing activities and
contribute to the successful delivery of Vanderlande’s projects worldwide.
Your Role
As a Test Integration Engineer II, you will independently execute and coordinate testing
activities across subsystems and project phases. You will work closely with engineering
disciplines, project teams, and customers to ensure systems are thoroughly tested and
meet defined requirements.
You will also contribute to improving testing practices, reviewing test artefacts,
investigating defects, and supporting the development of junior Test Integration
Engineers.
What you will do / Key Responsibilities
Testing & Integration
• Independently plan and execute integration, system, and acceptance testing
activities.
• Lead testing activities for assigned subsystems and functional areas.
• Prepare and execute test cases based on system requirements, system designs,
and approved test plans.
• Support FAT, SAT, and other customer acceptance activities.
• Analyse and evaluate test results and identify deviations or defects.
• Verify implemented solutions and confirm successful resolution of identified
defects.
• Review and approve test cases, test procedures, and other relevant test
artefacts.
• Ensure testing activities are performed according to project and engineering
standards.
Defect Investigation & Troubleshooting
• Drive investigation of defects identified during testing.
• Perform detailed analysis of system behaviour, logs, and test results.
• Coordinate with software, controls, electrical, and other engineering teams to
resolve technical issues.
• Verify corrective actions and ensure defects are properly closed.
• Identify recurring issues and contribute to preventive actions and process
improvements.
Team & Stakeholder Coordination
• Coach and support junior Test Integration Engineers.
• Coordinate testing activities with multidisciplinary project teams.
• Communicate testing progress, risks, issues, and results to project stakeholders.
• Support customer discussions related to testing and system acceptance.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of testing methods, tools, and
processes.
What you bring
• B.E. / B.Tech in Electronics, Instrumentation, Electrical, E&TC, or Computer
Engineering.
• 4–6 years of relevant experience in software testing, system testing, integration
testing, or a related engineering environment.
• Strong understanding of software testing and development life cycles, including
V-Model, CMMI, Agile, and test processes.
• Hands-on experience with Polarion, Jira, Oracle PL/SQL, and Unix.
• Experience in preparing and reviewing test cases, test plans, integration plans,
and system design documentation.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to independently execute testing activities and coordinate with multiple
engineering disciplines.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience mentoring or supporting junior engineers is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel extensively based on business requirements and on short
notice.
• Knowledge of PLC, SCADA, airport baggage handling, material handling, or
distribution systems is an advantage.
