About this role
Responsible for supporting equipment reliability, operational readiness, and production performance within assigned production areas. The Production Reliability Coordinator serves as a field-based resource focused on equipment inspections, condition monitoring, maintenance notification management, repair follow-up, and spare parts readiness. This position works closely with Production, Maintenance, Reliability, Engineering, Procurement and Warehouse personnel to identify equipment deficiencies, communicate reliability concerns, and support safe and reliable plant operations.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Knows, understands, and follows all Safety and Environmental policies, procedures, and requirements.
- Conducts routine field inspections of production equipment, systems, and operating areas to identify equipment deficiencies, abnormal conditions, and reliability concerns.
- Monitors equipment condition and operational performance through daily observations and inspection routes.
- Creates, documents, and maintains SAP notifications for equipment repairs, abnormal conditions, and reliability-related issues.
- Verifies SAP notifications contain accurate equipment, priority, and repair information.
- Tracks maintenance notifications and work orders through completion and follows up on the status of corrective actions.
- Performs follow-up inspections to verify repairs have been completed and equipment is operating as intended.
- Communicates equipment reliability concerns and recurring issues to Maintenance, Reliability, and Operations personnel.
- Supports root cause investigations by providing field observations, equipment history, and inspection findings.
- Maintains inspection records, equipment condition reports, reliability observations, and related documentation.
- Partners with Warehouse, Maintenance, and Reliability personnel to identify critical spare parts requirements for production equipment.
- Monitors availability of critical spare parts and communicates concerns that may impact equipment reliability or operational readiness.
- Supports outage planning, equipment readiness reviews, startup activities, and reliability improvement initiatives.
- Participates in incident investigations, audits of work performance, layered safety audits, and PM compliance activities.
- Performs shop floor audits to identify hazards, equipment deficiencies, and non-compliant conditions.
- Maintains equipment inspection routes, checklists, and associated documentation.
- Provides feedback regarding equipment condition, maintenance effectiveness, and opportunities for reliability improvement.
- Compiles and communicates equipment reliability trends, recurring issues, and inspection findings to Production leadership.
- Maintains certifications and knowledge requirements.
- Creates and maintains a culture of continuous improvement.
- Understands and promotes positive company culture and core values.
- Performs other duties assigned as needed.
Qualifications:
- Advanced knowledge of industrial operations, production processes, equipment systems, and reliability principles.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in production, maintenance, reliability, engineering, or process improvement roles.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience identifying equipment deficiencies and initiating corrective actions.
- Experience using SAP or computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Working knowledge of spare parts inventory and warehouse processes preferred.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Must be able to walk long distances and stand and work for more than 2 hours in tough environmental conditions (high temperature, high humidity, noise, and dust), and withstand heights of up to 500 feet.
- Must have the ability to effectively communicate in English, verbally and in writing. Skills will be used to produce quality reports and equipment-related documentation.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
- Must have or be able to obtain a TWIC card.
