About this role

Job Requirements

Do you have a broad technical interest (electronics, mechanics, electricity, IT) and are you looking for a position where the results of your work are concrete and impactful? Do you want to actively contribute to the medical sector and improve the future of patient care?

Read on quickly!

As a Field Service Engineer, you are responsible for commissioning, repairing, and maintaining equipment within the range of medical imaging, mainly in the Flanders region.

Are you curious about what your first steps will look like?

Initially, you can count on extensive training, partly provided abroad (mainly Germany).

In addition, you will shadow an experienced colleague to gain practical experience. Of course, you can always turn to your assigned buddy, your regional manager, your colleagues, management, and/or the experts in Germany with your questions.

Once you are well trained, you will gradually start going out on the road independently. You will leave home in the morning and do not have to go to the office first every time. Again, you can count on support from your colleagues because that’s how we work at Siemens Healthineers—we are here for each other!

Your responsibilities will then look like this:

- Maintenance, preventive and proactive adjustments, repairs, basic calibration, installation, and de-installation of radiology equipment (fluoroscopy, radiography, mobile X-ray devices, mammography, C-arms, etc.) in compliance with deadlines and regulations regarding productivity and profitability.
- Smart management of spare parts, taking into account possible consequences (orders, location, returns within the established deadlines, etc.).
- Primary responsibility for customer satisfaction regarding their equipment; proactive attitude and actions aimed at optimizing performance and the customer’s image.
- Informing management if there is a problem concerning customer satisfaction or when contractual obligations cannot be met.
- Meticulous completion of all administrative tasks and reports (using a mobile platform).
- Participating in an online support system to provide technical assistance to both customers and colleagues, focusing on quick and efficient problem resolution.
- In the long term, you will join a bi-monthly on-call system. Rest assured, interventions are generally limited, and most issues can be resolved remotely.

Work Experience

Your profile:

- You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in industrial engineering in industrial sciences, electronics, electricity, electromechanics, automation, IT, or other fields. If you have gained knowledge in medical technology, this is an additional asset.
- You have IT and network knowledge and are willing to deepen this further.
- Previous professional experience is a plus. However, having the right motivation is even more important.
- You are proficient in Dutch and English. French is definitely a plus.
- Since you will be in contact with customers as a Service Engineer and will face technical challenges, we consider the following competencies important: analytical thinking, solution-oriented, communicative, eager to learn, proactive, stress-resistant, and flexible.
- You know how to combine independence with a team-oriented attitude by, among other things, proactively helping colleagues and sharing expertise.
- What can you expect from Siemens Healthineers?
- A competitive salary, supplemented with fringe benefits such as a company car, a fuel card (valid within Europe), eco vouchers, meal vouchers, and an attractive insurance package
- A thorough onboarding and various trainings, spread over 6 months to 1 year, where you will be fully prepared to work independently as a Service Engineer
- A pleasant working atmosphere, with attention to work-life balance and enjoyable activities
- A “lifelong learning” culture where you are encouraged to continuously develop your skills
