About this role

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

- Design and development of Interior / Exterior trims (IP, Console, Pillar trims, Door trims, Front grill, FR & RR Bumper, Wheel Arches, Door-cladding, Mud guard/ Flap etc. ) ,

- Experience in creating Concepts and data inputs for business case preparation and project costing at kick off stage.

- Experience in feasibility studies of styling data CAS-0 to Class-A for trims parts(tooling direction, draft analysis, Homologation checks, Surface quality etc.)

- Master Section Development, 3D CAD modelling of Engineering surfaces and considering other vehicle parts packaging like Veh DAC , E&E , other BIW & GSM parts etc.

- Interaction with Development Team / Suppliers / Tool makers for Mfg. Feasibility, packaging / tooling feasibility study.

- Incorporation of Changes suggested in DFM/DFS/DFA, CAE, DMU feedback, Service & Mold flow simulation etc. into engineering design.

- Benchmarking study for competition vehicles and systems for packaging, performance, assembly etc. at vehicle level and tear down level.

- Incorporation of GD&T for parts and assembly drawings

- Work effectively in a team environment with a cross-functional team

- Very good knowledge on manufacturing process specifically, plastic injection molding, SMC compression molding, vacuum forming, rotational molding and blow molding technology

Key Deliverables :

- Good CAD proficiency on CATIA V5 in below modules is mandatory - optional is Catia 3D experience

- Assembly design, Surface modelling (Generative Shape Design Module),Part modelling, Detailing (Drafting),3D Annotation (Functional Tolerancing & Annotation)

- Good knowledge of Int / Ext trims materials and manufacturing processes, design and devp

- Experience in concerns resolution during validation & service trials

- Knowledge of component and vehicle level DVP and homologation

- Experience in concerns resolution during validation & service trials

- Excellent communication skills in English & Self-starter with a high passion for success.

Experience

BE mechanical with 6~7 years of experience

Should have good knowledge of automotive product development cycle, Hands on experience of vehicle build phase, plant and supplier exposure/interaction.

Proficient in CATIA, Teamcenter (PLM software)

Good analytical skills and problem-solving skills

Industry Preferred
