Duration: Summer Internship Duration - 10–12 weeks

Format: In‑person with field visits and facility rotations

Compensation: $25/hour plus eligibility for housing stipend

Eligibility: Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field

The Opportunity

As a UFP Sales Intern, you’ll be immersed in the day‑to‑day work of a professional sales organization. You’ll gain firsthand experience with our products, shadow seasoned sales professionals, and engage directly with customers. You’ll also explore different facilities and operations through best-practice training modules.

What You’ll Do

- Participate in hands-on product and operations training.
- Support sales, customer service, and production teams.
- Conduct customer visits and accompany sales representatives on sales calls.
- Assist with quoting, order entry, customer communications, and follow-up activities.
- Prospect and identify potential customers in assigned markets.
- Conduct market research and gather competitive intelligence.
- Participate in customer presentations, facility tours, and business reviews.
- Utilize CRM tools to document customer interactions and sales opportunities.
- Analyze customer needs and recommend appropriate UFP products and solutions.
- Partner with sales professionals to develop territory growth plans and account strategies.
- Visit multiple UFP facilities to understand manufacturing and operational processes
- Complete a capstone project focused on a customer, market, or sales opportunity and present recommendations to leadership.

Program Structure

- Week 1: Onboarding & product immersion
- Weeks 2–4: Facility rotations & customer visits

- Weeks 5–8: Customer visits, sales calls, CRM activities, quoting support, territory analysis, and account development projects
- Weeks 9–10: Independently support assigned sales initiatives, present findings from customer and market research, and deliver final project recommendations
