Must have open shift availability (1st, 2nd, 3rd). Must also be available for weekends/holidays.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

- Load and unload finished goods.

- Receive and unload raw materials and packaging supplies.

- Remove cooled products from cooling racks.

- Operate a yard truck and position trailers at loading docks.

- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS), computers, and complete required documentation accurately.

- Perform cycle counts and inventory checks as needed.

- Inspect products for proper packaging, labeling, weights, flavors, and code dates.

- Verify testing equipment functionality daily.

- Ensure trailers are clean and properly cooled before loading.

- Complete daily forklift inspections.

- Participate in ongoing training and development programs.

- Support plant safety initiatives and participate in safety teams and programs.

- Coordinate workflow to ensure breaks and meal periods are taken in accordance with contract provisions.

- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

- High School Diploma or GED required.

- One to three months of related experience or training preferred.

- Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

Language Skills

- Ability to read and interpret work orders, safety procedures, operating instructions, and manuals.

- Ability to complete routine reports and documentation.

- Ability to effectively communicate information with coworkers and supervisors.

Mathematical Skills

- Basic math skills, including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing using whole numbers.

Reasoning Ability

- Ability to apply common-sense understanding to follow written and verbal instructions.

- Ability to resolve routine problems in standardized work situations.

Physical Requirements

The physical demands described here are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this role.

- Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, handle materials, and use hands and arms.

- Frequently required to communicate effectively through speaking and hearing.

- May be required to climb ladders and maintain balance.

- Must regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds.

- Must occasionally lift and move up to 55 pounds.

- May frequently lift items above shoulder height.

- Requires close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, as well as the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

- Regular exposure to moving mechanical equipment.

- Occasional work in wet, humid, or elevated environments.

- May handle or be exposed to cleaning chemicals, including sodium hydroxide and phosphoric acid.

- Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE), such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and rubber boots.

- Work environment is typically loud, requiring hearing protection.

Work Schedule

Work schedules may vary and are subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

Pay: $25.32/hr.*

*The hourly rate as indicated in the CBA. The posted pay rate reflects just one component of our total rewards package. Other components of the total rewards package may include participation in group health and/or dental insurance, retirement plan, paid time away from work, and paid holidays.
