SUMMARY
To honor Jesus by assisting the SFCA Preschool Director in overseeing the early learning program and supporting the implementation of the preschools and the Churchs philosophy, mission, and objectives.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Requires a high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED); and two to four years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or a degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is required.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Assistant Director provides direct supervision for receptionists and supports the Director in the oversight, leadership, and development of all preschool staff.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one small group situations to customers, clients, and other associates of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply basic concepts of financial management such as keeping journals, budgets, and purchase orders.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
COMPUTER SKILLS
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office, H.R.I.S, FACTS Accounting Management, ProCare, Weebly, social media websites, etc.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Should hold current CPR certificate and be able to demonstrate knowledge of basic First Aid, 45 hours state training. Should have or be obtaining a Directors Credential within the first year of employment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The associate must regularly lift and /or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
TIME REQUIREMENT This is a full-time salaried exempt position that requires 40 hours per week. Normal working hours are Monday through Friday from 8 A.M. to 5 P.M. with some opening and closing shifts.
