Role Summary
The Senior Invoice-to-Cash Analyst manages complex activities across the end-to-end Invoice-to-Cash cycle, including customer master data management, invoicing, cash application, collections, dispute resolution, credit risk monitoring, and period-end reporting. As a key point of contact for business and finance stakeholders, the Senior Analyst provides actionable insights, drives issue resolution and process improvement, supports team capability development, and helps optimize cash flow and the customer experience while ensuring compliance with company policies and internal controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of complex or high-value customer accounts across the Invoice-to-Cash cycle, ensuring that receivables activities are completed accurately and on time.
- Lead collection activities for overdue and escalated balances, secure payment commitments, and coordinate recovery actions with customers and senior internal stakeholders.
- Oversee timely and accurate cash application, investigate material unapplied or unidentified cash, and drive the resolution of allocation issues.
- Manage complex customer deductions, short payments, credit notes, and disputes; lead root-cause analyses, define corrective actions, and maintain close follow-up with relevant internal and external parties to ensure timely resolution and closure.
- Review customer master data, credit limits, payment terms, and collection records to ensure compliance with approved governance and control requirements.
- Coordinate and monitor bank guarantees and letters of credit (L/Cs), including issuance, amendments, renewals, utilization, expiry dates, required documentation, and follow-up with banks and internal stakeholders.
- Perform credit risk assessments by analyzing customer exposure, payment behavior, overdue trends, blocked orders, and available securities; recommend and escalate appropriate risk mitigation actions.
- Review account reconciliations, statements of account, collection forecasts, aging analyses, and management reports, ensuring accuracy and timely follow-up on exceptions.
- Prepare and present monthly Invoice-to-Cash performance reports to relevant stakeholders, covering days sales outstanding (DSO), overdue receivables and aging, past-due percentage, collections versus target, cash application accuracy and timeliness, unapplied and unidentified cash, dispute and deduction aging, bad debt and provision exposure, blocked orders, customer credit exposure, and the status of bank guarantees and L/Cs; explain key trends, risks, root causes, and required actions.
- Lead assigned month-end, quarter-end, and year-end activities, including receivables reconciliations, provision and expected credit loss calculations, reporting, and audit support.
- Serve as a key Invoice-to-Cash contact and build strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, including Commercial, Customer Service, Finance, Treasury, Tax, Compliance, banks, and customers, to align priorities, support timely decisions, and resolve operational issues.
- Manage escalated customer inquiries professionally and maintain complete records of collection activities, disputes, decisions, and agreed resolutions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, delegated approval authorities, internal controls, data privacy requirements, and applicable legal and regulatory standards; proactively identify and escalate control gaps.
- Lead or support process improvement, automation, standardization, and root-cause elimination initiatives across the Invoice-to-Cash process.
- Monitor service-level agreements and key performance indicators, investigate performance gaps, and coordinate corrective action plans with accountable stakeholders.
- Support internal and external audits by providing accurate records, clear explanations, and supporting evidence within agreed timelines, and coordinate the remediation of findings.
- Provide day-to-day guidance, share knowledge, coach junior team members, and contribute to onboarding and process training.
Qualifications and Experience

- A minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience in Invoice-to-Cash, accounts receivable, collections, cash application, credit management, or shared services operations, including experience managing complex or high-value customer accounts.

- Ability to manage competing priorities, exercise sound judgment, lead issue resolution, and work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
Key Competencies

- Accurate and timely cash application, account reconciliations, KPI reporting, and period-end activities.
- Sustained reduction in aged receivables, unapplied cash, deductions, disputes, and blocked orders.
- Effective management and escalation of credit risk, bad debt exposure, bank guarantees, and letters of credit.
