Compensation includes a base salary in the range of $55,400.00 - $83,200.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Job Summary
The Supervisor, Vehicle Operations Support is responsible for leading people, performance, training, and operational support activities that enable effective auction operations and a high‑quality client experience. This role provides direct supervision to team members, oversees onboarding and training execution, manages scheduling and staffing for virtual block support, and partners closely with auction leadership and cross‑functional teams. The Supervisor plays a critical role in performance management, process improvement, and ensuring operational accuracy, consistency, and compliance.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
People Leadership & Performance Management
- Lead, coach, and develop team members through regular performance check‑ins, coaching conversations, and feedback aligned to established performance metrics.
- Administer corrective and disciplinary actions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs), assess trends, and partner with leadership to implement strategies that improve accuracy, efficiency, quality, and service delivery.
- Lead and participate in leadership discussions and performance review meetings (e.g., LDMs, monthly follow‑ups) to review results, address issues, and ensure appropriate support.
- Foster a respectful, inclusive, and engaged work environment by modeling company values and setting clear expectations for conduct and performance.
Training & Onboarding Oversight
- Manage and oversee the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a comprehensive and consistent introduction to systems, processes, expectations, and culture.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional partners to identify onboarding and training needs that support operational and business goals.
- Ensure training content and delivery methods align with operational standards, quality expectations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Auction Operations Support & Scheduling
- Coordinate and verify sales schedules, lane assignments, and appropriate staffing levels on a weekly basis to meet auction needs, taking into account time zones, daily and weekly overtime considerations, and auction‑specific circumstances.
- Manage regional scheduling of Virtual Block Specialists (VBS) while collaborating with the national scheduling center to enable cross‑region support and coverage.
- Partner with auction leadership and Virtual Block Specialist team members to identify operational issues, solve problems, and continuously improve and measure the client experience.
- Monitor workload and staffing alignment to ensure operational efficiency, service quality, and timely support for auction operations.
Operational Excellence & Process Improvement
- Identify, develop, and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency, accuracy, quality, and service delivery.
- Develop, document, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for team members supporting cross‑functional or ancillary workstreams.
- Support and participate in additional projects, initiatives, and committees (such as employee engagement efforts) that promote operational effectiveness and team engagement.
Cross‑Functional Partnership & Technology Support
- Partner with internal support teams (e.g., HR, IT, Safety, Security, and other business partners) to ensure effective and efficient operational processes aligned with company objectives.
- Serve as the primary IT liaison for the location, coordinating responses to technical issues and ensuring timely resolution for team members.
- Partner with department leadership to plan, schedule, and facilitate meetings and trainings that support operational and ancillary business needs.
Compliance, Safety & Conduct
- Enforce company policies and procedures related to employee conduct, performance, and workplace standards.
- Demonstrate a visible commitment to safety by following all safety and health procedures and supporting safety initiatives in alignment with company standards.
- Ensure team members are informed of and adhere to applicable policies, procedures, and operational expectations.
Additional Responsibilities
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by leadership.
Required Experience & Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED and 5 years’ experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 3 years’ experience in a related field; a Master's degree and 1 year of experience; or a Ph.D. and up to 1 year of experience
- Demonstrated ability to coach, develop, and manage employee performance.
- Strong communication, organizational, time‑management, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to build effective working relationships with auction leadership and cross‑functional partners.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, detail‑oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 1 year in a supervisory, lead, or people‑management role.
- Experience supporting auction operations, vehicle operations, or virtual sales environments.
- Experience leading training or onboarding programs.
- Experience with workforce scheduling and operational staffing models.
- Proficiency with business systems and tools used to track performance, scheduling, and operational metrics.
Work Environment
- Typical office or operational environment.
- Regular collaboration with auction locations and cross‑functional teams.
