CORE JOB SUMMARY
The AI Performance Manager maximizes the effectiveness, adoption, governance, and business value of artificial intelligence solutions across the organization. This role serves as the bridge between business leaders, HR, IT, data teams, and end users to ensure AI technologies improve productivity, employee experience, operational efficiency, and decision-making. The AI Performance Manager establishes AI performance metrics, monitors value realization, drives adoption strategies, ensures ethical and compliant use of AI, and continuously improves AI-enabled processes. The role combines expertise in workforce strategy, analytics, organizational effectiveness, change management, and AI governance.
CORE JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Develops and maintains enterprise AI performance metrics and success measures. Establishes KPIs for AI initiatives, including productivity gains, adoption rates, cost savings, quality improvements, and employee experience outcomes.
2. Monitors AI solution effectiveness and provides recommendations for continuous optimization. Creates executive dashboards and scorecards to track AI performance, utilization, and financial return on investment.
3. Conducts periodic AI impact assessments and value realization reviews across functional departments.
4. Ensures AI tools comply with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and institutional ethical standards. Partners with legal, compliance, information security, and privacy teams to identify and manage AI-related operational risks.
5. Monitors AI outputs for accuracy, bias, fairness, transparency, data privacy, and overall reliability.
6. Supports the development, roll-out, and continuous enforcement of enterprise AI governance frameworks. Leads AI adoption initiatives, change management strategies, and workforce capability-building efforts.
7. Develops strategic plans to increase employee utilization, proficiency, and engagement with enterprise AI tools. Identifies organizational barriers to adoption and implements targeted corrective action plans.
8. Partners with learning and development teams to create AI training programs and promote responsible practices. Identifies opportunities to redesign and optimize business processes through strategic AI enablement.
9. Partners with business units to define high-impact use cases, measure operational outcomes, and scale successful solutions.
10. Facilitates the strategic prioritization of AI investments based on projected business value and strategic alignment.
11. Evaluates emerging AI technologies, analyzes performance data, and recommends model and workflow enhancements.
12. Develops reports, presentations, and executive summaries to provide actionable insights to leadership. Conducts trend analysis to uncover operational improvement opportunities and refine implementation approaches.
13. Serves as a trusted advisor to business leaders regarding AI strategy, risk management, and overall performance. Collaborates with HR, IT, Operations, Data Analytics, Compliance, and academic or administrative units to support enterprise-wide digital transformation.
14. Facilitates governance committees, working groups, and stakeholder forums to align AI priorities across the organization.
15. Establishes and continuously assesses the effectiveness of the internal controls within the unit and compliance with University policies and procedures. Ensures employees are trained on controls within the function and on University policy and procedures.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience required
