Job Description
The 2nd Shift Production Supervisor is responsible for leading and directing daily manufacturing operations to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and productivity objectives are achieved. This role provides frontline leadership and support to production employees in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while driving operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of manufacturing personnel on 2nd shift to meet production schedules and business objectives.
- Lead, coach, develop, and motivate employees while fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, engagement, and inclusion.
- Monitor production performance and implement corrective actions to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets are achieved.
- Partner closely with Quality, Engineering, Materials, Maintenance, and other cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), quality standards, and company policies.
- Ensure adherence to all environmental, health, and safety requirements while promoting a safe work environment.
- Drive continuous improvement activities focused on process efficiency, waste reduction, productivity, and employee development.
- Manage staffing, scheduling, training, performance management, and employee relations activities for assigned production teams.
- Support problem-solving efforts related to production issues, equipment performance, quality concerns, and process improvements.
- Prepare and maintain production reports, metrics, standard operating procedures, and other required documentation.
- Support new product introductions, process transfers, and operational readiness activities as needed.
- Accountable for achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) including safety, quality, productivity, on-time delivery, employee engagement, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate degree, Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and relevant manufacturing leadership experience.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience formally or informally leading people, projects, programs, or production teams.
- Experience working in a manufacturing, production, pharmaceutical, life sciences, medical device, chemical, or regulated environment preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop employees while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
- Experience using manufacturing metrics and data to drive performance improvements.
- Ability to work and support a 2nd shift operation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Business, or a related field.
- Previous supervisory or people leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma, or Operational Excellence methodologies.
- Experience working within GMP, ISO, FDA, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
- Proficiency with ERP, MES, or other manufacturing systems.

The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $90,051.00 - $140,705.00/yr plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
