Ornua is a leading dairy co-operative which sells premium dairy products globally on behalf of its Member Co-operatives, Ireland’s dairy processors and, in turn, Irish dairy farmers.

Ornua has revenues of €3.4 billion and is supported by a global team of approximately 2,800 employees. The Group operates as a commercial organisation across 10 business units, including 12 production facilities located in Europe, North America, the Middle East and Africa.

The commercial organisation is responsible for the marketing and sales of Ornua’s consumer brands including Ireland’s most successful food export: Kerrygold. Consumer markets are served by production facilities in Ireland, Germany and the UK and by in-market Sales & Marketing Teams in Asia, Germany, Ireland, MEA, Poland, Spain, rest of Europe and North and Latin America.

It also manages the procurement of Irish and non-Irish dairy products, the sale of dairy ingredients to food manufacturing and foodservice customers globally, and the implementation of de-risking and trading strategies to manage market volatility. These activities are supported by production facilities and in-market teams in Europe, North America, the Middle East and Africa.

WHY THIS ROLE IS VALUABLE:

An opportunity has arisen for a newly created Finance Controls & Transformation Manager to join Ornua's Finance function at an exciting stage in the evolution of the Group's Financial Controls Transformation Programme.

Reporting to the Head of Financial Controls, this role will play a key part in designing, implementing and embedding a best-in-class financial control environment across Ornua's global operations. The successful candidate will partner with Finance, ICT, commercial, and operational teams to strengthen governance, enhance process transparency, improve system controls and support strategic transformation initiatives.

The position provides significant exposure to senior finance leadership, international business operations and cross-functional transformation projects. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence how financial controls are designed and embedded across a complex multinational organisation while supporting the delivery of Ornua's long-term finance transformation agenda. Flexible or reduced-hours arrangements may be considered for an exceptional senior candidate.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

- Support the design and implementation of Ornua's Financial Controls Transformation agenda.

- Drive the standardisation and continuous improvement of financial governance, controls and finance processes across the Group.

- Partner with Finance, ICT and business leadership teams to strengthen the overall control environment and promote a culture of accountability and ownership.

- Lead key transformation initiatives that enhance efficiency, automation, and risk management.

- Provide governance, reporting and insight to senior stakeholders on the progress and effectiveness of financial control and transformation activities.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).

- 7+ years' experience in finance, financial controls, finance transformation, or related disciplines.

- Experience working within a multinational organisation or complex business environment.

- Demonstrated experience leading finance improvement, transformation or process optimisation initiatives.

- Good understanding of end-to-end finance processes including Revenue Cycle, Procurement, Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Financial Operations.

- Experience with data analytics, Power BI.

- Strong understanding of financial controls, governance and risk management principles.

- Process mapping and continuous improvement experience.

- Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive change across multiple functions.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.

- Ability to balance strategic thinking with practical delivery and implementation.
