General Production Worker – 2nd Shift

We are hiring a General Production Worker for a manufacturing facility in North Wilkesboro, NC. This is a hands-on production position involving machine operation, material preparation, material handling, and general manufacturing duties.

Previous manufacturing experience is preferred but not required. Candidates with mechanical aptitude, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.

Pay: $18.49/hour
Shift: 2nd Shift

Work Location: Onsite

Responsibilities

Depending on assignment, duties may include:

- Prepare and handle materials for production
- Operate conventional machinery such as lathes, mills, surface grinders, and drill sharpeners
- Assist with CNC/Komo machine operations
- Read and understand blueprints and technical drawings
- Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers
- Perform basic mathematical calculations and measurements
- Complete preventative maintenance inspections at the beginning of each shift
- Move, stage, and handle materials throughout the facility
- Perform general warehouse and production duties as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow established safety and production procedures
- Work overtime as needed to meet production and customer demands

Qualifications

- Previous manufacturing, production, warehouse, or machine operation experience preferred
- Manufacturing experience is not required
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings is a plus
- Comfortable learning to use measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers
- Basic math skills
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to follow instructions and work safely
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Ability to team lift materials weighing more than 50 pounds
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Willingness to work overtime when needed
