About this role
Mobilexpense is a European SaaS company helping organizations simplify and automate expense management. Our platform supports companies across Europe in managing expenses, payments and related processes in a secure and compliant way.
Technology is at the core of our business, and our applications rely on a growing Microsoft Azure environment. As we continue to modernize and scale our platform, we're looking for a Cloud & DevOps Engineer to strengthen our Cloud & Infra team and help us build secure, reliable and highly automated cloud environments.
The Role
As a Cloud & DevOps Engineer, you will join our Cloud & Infra team , working alongside a Cloud & Infra Lead and other Cloud & DevOps Engineers with different levels of experience.
You will work closely with our Software Engineering teams , helping them deploy and operate our applications while continuously improving the infrastructure, tooling and automation behind our SaaS platform.
This is a hands-on role combining cloud infrastructure, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, automation, observability and production reliability .
Depending on your experience, you will progressively take ownership of parts of our cloud platform. You won't be expected to know everything from day one: you'll work alongside experienced engineers while being encouraged to investigate, propose improvements and increasingly drive your own technical topics.
What You'll Work On
Our cloud environment is built primarily around Microsoft Azure , with Terraform as our standard for Infrastructure as Code.
Our applications make extensive use of Azure App Services, Azure Container Apps, Azure Functions and Azure SQL , alongside Azure networking, storage, identity and monitoring services.
We use Azure DevOps for much of our software delivery lifecycle, with GitHub also becoming part of our engineering ecosystem.
Automation is an important part of how we work. We aim to manage infrastructure through code, automate repetitive operations and continuously improve how applications move from development to production.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build and maintain infrastructure in Microsoft Azure using Terraform .
- Build, maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub .
- Support and improve workloads running on Azure App Services, Azure Container Apps and Azure Functions .
- Work closely with Software Engineers on application deployments, infrastructure requirements and production reliability.
- Automate operational and infrastructure tasks using PowerShell and Azure-native tooling.
- Contribute to the design and evolution of our Azure architecture.
- Configure and troubleshoot Azure networking , connectivity, DNS, private endpoints and related services.
- Monitor and improve the availability, performance, scalability and cost efficiency of our cloud environments.
- Maintain and improve observability using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics and Application Insights .
- Investigate infrastructure and deployment issues and work with Software Engineers to identify their root causes.
- Work with Security Engineering to implement best practices around identity, access, network security and data protection .
- Participate in incident response and contribute to improvements following production incidents.
- Maintain technical documentation and share knowledge across the team.
- Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize and automate our infrastructure and operational processes.
Requirements
What We're Looking For
We're looking for a Junior/Medior engineer with a strong interest in cloud infrastructure and automation. You don't need to be an expert in every technology we use, but you should have solid technical fundamentals, curiosity and the willingness to understand how things work.
- Initial professional experience in a Cloud, DevOps, Infrastructure or similar technical role .
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure or another major cloud platform, with a strong interest in developing deeper Azure expertise.
- Experience with or a good understanding of Infrastructure as Code . Experience with Terraform is a strong advantage.
- Understanding of CI/CD , Git and modern software delivery practices.
- Scripting and automation skills; PowerShell is particularly relevant in our environment.
- Good understanding of infrastructure fundamentals, particularly networking, DNS, security and IAM .
- A troubleshooting mindset and the ability to investigate problems beyond their immediate symptoms.
- Interest in automation and improving existing solutions rather than relying on repetitive manual operations.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Cloud, Software Engineering, Security and other technical teams.
- Fluent English , written and spoken.
- An AI-first mindset : comfortable using AI tools as part of your daily work and interested in applying them to engineering, automation and operational challenges.
- Experience with Terraform, Azure DevOps, GitHub, Azure App Services, Container Apps, Azure Functions or Azure SQL is valuable, but we don't expect a Junior/Medior candidate to already have deep expertise across our entire stack.
What We Offer
- Competitive salary and benefits package.
- Hybrid and flexible work environment.
- The opportunity to work hands-on with a modern and evolving Azure SaaS environment .
- A team combining different experience levels, giving you room to learn while progressively taking greater technical ownership.

- Professional development and certification support.
- The opportunity to influence how we automate and operate our cloud platform as it continues to evolve.
- A collaborative environment with close interaction between Cloud, Software Engineering and Security teams.
