Basic Job Functions:
The Quality/Process Engineer intern will focus on equipment upgrade and process improvement. Possible related projects include equipment design, installation, troubleshooting variability studies and other duties to assist the current Quality and Engineering teammates. Candidates must be willing to work overtime as necessary.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled at a college or university in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering or an equivalent field.
- Minimum collegiate GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US (Nucor will not sponsor the need for a visa now or in the future).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in 3D design
- Previous Process Engineering experience
- Minor Metallurgical or Materials Engineering or equivalent field
- Effectively collaborate with other individuals
