About this role

Summary/Objective
The Portfolio Mortgage Loan Processor produces mortgage loan documents in accordance with bank guidelines.  
The position is available in Ruston, LA and will report to the Senior Vice President of Credit Administration and Centralized Loan Processing.
 
Essential Functions

·         Process portfolio mortgage loan applications in a timely manner
·         Process HELOC applications in a timely manner
·         Book Consumer Mortgage and HELOC loans to core system
·         Scan loan files and documents to scan system
·         Escrow disbursements
·         Escrow analysis
·         Daily loan review
·         File documents in records vault
·         Loan maintenance
·         Assist lenders with processing, payment, and maintenance questions
·         Answer customer calls regarding loan questions
·         Collateral releases
·         Loan payments
·         End of year tax statements
·         File mortgages
·         Fund loans
·         Balance general ledger
·         Set up auto transfer payments for loans
 
Competencies 
·       Knowledge of Mortgage Lending Regulations
·       Knowledge of Laserpro loan origination software is preferred, but not required

Work Environment
This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, fax machines, email, electronic calendars, scanning devices, calculators, and spreadsheets.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full‐time position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, 8:00am to
5:00pm, with a one‐hour lunch break, but may change depending on staffing needs and workload. This position may require occasional evening and weekend work as needed.
 
Travel
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out‐of‐area and overnight travel may be expected.
 
Preferred Education and Experience
Experience in problem resolution, ability to set and achieve goals, results‐driven attitude, communication skills, organizational skills, attention to detail, and advanced computer skills.
  
Minimum
Equivalent combinations of experience, training and/or education approved by Human Resources
