Executive Summary

This role does not involve development of software code. The candidate we require needs extensive experience with the ISO 9001:2015 Quality standard and Certification process. They must have prior experience with implementing and maintaining a QMS using a HMI platform, and development of QMS ISO 9001 Policies and Procedures.

Position Summary

We are looking for a skilled Quality Management Systems Specialist - ISO 9001, with 3-7 years of experience implementing, and maintaining enterprise based QMS HMI’s for an ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System, supporting all quality activities related to the full equipment lifecycle for data center medium-voltage UPS’s.

In this role, you will serve as the administrator of the organization's enterprise QMS platform - implementing and executing the roadmap to achieve ISO 9001 certification. The primary responsibilities will include configuring the QMS platform's modules, workflows, and user access and development of workflows, policies, and procedures for an ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System.

The QMS platform and related workflows, policies, and procedures shall be used to automate processes for monitoring and determining the effectiveness of the QMS and reporting to management, while coordinating across all departments to formalize processes within ON.energy.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Industrial, or Quality Engineering (or a closely related technical field)

- 3-7 years' experience in Quality Management Systems, specifically within an ISO 9001 environment

- Familiarity with electrical power systems, BESS, inverters, transformers, switchgear, or other similar equipment is preferred

- Strong working knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001) and quality analysis problem-solving tools (CAPA, 8D, SPC, FMEA)

- Proficient with QMS Continual Improvement Processes and Tools and Processes (PDCA, Six Sigma, DMAIC, Kaizan)

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a practical understanding of manufacturing processes

- Proficient in enterprise Quality Management System (QMS) platforms for ISO 9001 Certification

- Proficient in all ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS) clauses - including Nonconformities and Corrective Actions, Audit Management, Management Reviews, Supplier and Customer Management, Change Management, Employee Training, and Calibration and Preventive Management

- Hands-on experience implementing and administering an enterprise QMS platform strongly preferred (e.g. QT9, Octave Reliance - ETQ) / Previous QT9 platform experience will be highly regarded

- Strong proficiency with key Microsoft platforms (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Planner) and AI platforms (e.g. Claude, ChatGPT, CoPilot, Gemini)

- Fluent in English and Spanish (written and spoken), with the ability to communicate effectively with bilingual teams across ON.energy's operations

- Strong proficiency in Technical Writing for developing Process Workflows, Policies, Procedures, standard operating procedures (SOP’s), and Forms for an ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System

- ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification (Certified Quality Engineer - CQE) with a strong working knowledge of ISO 9000 and ISO 9001

- Willingness to travel (up to 25%) to vendor locations (domestic and international) and project sites

- Excellent communication and documentation abilities; capable of interfacing effectively with customers, suppliers and cross-functional teams

Key Responsibilities

- Serve as the primary system administrator for the organization's QMS platform, managing user accounts, roles, and permissions, including employee, customer, and supplier portal access

- Configure, maintain, and continuously improve the QMS platform's modules, workflows, and automated notifications to support evolving quality processes

- Project management and progress monitoring of all implementation and scheduling activities for a new enterprise Quality Management System platform for ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 9001:2026 Certification

- Drive Continual Improvement through Awareness, Participation, Collaboration, One-Company, One-QMS

- Support the definition, documentation, and maintenance of Quality processes in compliance with ISO 9001 and other applicable requirements

- Monitor Performance Metrics and ensure the effectiveness of the QMS Program, leveraging the QMS platform's dynamic dashboards and reporting tools

- Ensure all processes and procedures are properly maintained and executed, including the Audit Planning and Reporting documentation

- Implement and maintain the Quality Management System using a QMS platform, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards. Develop future plans for transitioning from ISO 9001:2015 to ISO 9001:2026 standards

- Collaborate with all Departments to develop, and maintain quality process workflows, policies, procedures, work instructions, and SOP’s using the company Document Control process for revision tracking, approvals, and controlled distribution

- Plan, schedule, and conduct internal quality audits to identify gaps in processes and ensure adherence to standards, utilizing the QMS platform's Audit Management module to schedule, track, and document audit results

- Coordinate with external auditors and act as a primary point of contact during surveillance or recertification audits

- Support new and existing customer and supplier process audits to ensure alignment with ISO 9001 and other company standards / requirements

- Monitor key quality metrics (KPIs), ISO 9001:2015 Quality Objectives, defect rates, customer complaints, and report findings to management

- Facilitate and conduct mandatory Management Reviews, report findings to management, and assist resolving nonconformity findings

- Facilitate Corrective Action Management, including root cause analysis (Fishbone / Ishikawa, 5-Why, Pareto Analysis) for non-conformances, and track corrective / preventive actions (CAR) to closure through the QMS platform's CAPA module

- Perform regular training and support of employees on QMS processes, procedures, and quality standards and administer completion tracking through the QMS platform's Training module

- Support data integration and workflow alignment between the QMS platform and other business systems (e.g., ERP or equivalent platforms) to ensure seamless quality and operations data flow

Preferred Qualifications

- A 4-year degree in a related field (e.g. Quality Management, Engineering) or equivalent experience

- ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification (Certified Quality Engineer - CQE) with a strong working knowledge of ISO 9000 and ISO 9001

- Highly proficient with implementation and administration of an enterprise Quality Management System platform (e.g. QT9, Octave Reliance - ETQ) / Previous QT9 platform experience will be highly regarded

- Familiarity with quality management tools, NCR tracking tools, and dashboard reporting

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with keen attention to detail
