About this role
Job Description
Just imagine turning engineering data into smarter, automated workflows that give designers more time to create value. Then make it real.
About the role
As our Technology Engineer - Data & Automation, you'll play a key role in developing software automation through low code platforms and embed these to support the automation journey across element and additive engineering. Your work will help create a reliable data foundation for predictive and preventive engineering models, improving element and mould development across the value chain.
Required Qualifications
- Applied one to two years of computational design experience in product development, manufacturing design or a related field.
- Used node-based programming software, such as Grasshopper for Rhino, to develop computational solutions.
- Built or maintained solutions using Python.
- Worked within engineering, automation, simulation or a closely related technical discipline.
- Demonstrated familiarity with cloud computing concepts, particularly for artificial intelligence inference.
Preferred Qualifications
- Used Synera or another low-code tool to create engineering workflows.
What you'll build
- Develop low-code software automation and embed it into engineering processes.
- Build, test and deliver automation initiatives aligned with advanced engineering objectives.
- Create maintainable workflows by applying standards and documenting improvements.
- Support the implementation and transition of digital engineering tools and software.
- Enable engineers and specialists through training and shared low-code practices.
- Explore new tools, solutions and processes that support the long-term digital engineering roadmap.
If you've created or maintained no-code automation workflows or worked with NX Open scripting, you'll feel at home here. What matters most is your ability to solve technical problems, learn new tools and communicate your thinking clearly.
Life on the team
You'll join the Data & Automation team within Operations at the LEGO Group. The team delivers data science and automation solutions and supports colleagues creating their own workflows across the engineering value chain. To succeed we collaborate closely with our key stakeholders and cross-functional specialists. You'll take ownership of your work while contributing as part of a value-adding team.
We are an international team based at the brand-new vibrant LEGO® Kornmarken Campus in Billund. The work environment is exciting, inspiring, and flexible – and we have some fun along the road!
What success looks like
During your first year, you'll build confidence with Synera and the engineering flow behind creating new elements. You'll help reduce design time, allowing engineers to focus on higher-value work. You'll work closely with mechanical engineers and digital engineering specialists, including colleagues experienced in Synera and coding, to deliver sustainable automation and support the wider engineering digital roadmap.
Please note: If you require any reasonable accommodation or adjustments throughout the application process, please let us know. We will work with you to meet your needs.
This position is Lead Professional Skyline. Relocation support is not offered.
