Job Overview
The Finance Manager, Transformation Office serves as a strategic finance partner to business and transformation leaders, providing financial leadership, performance insights, and decision support to accelerate business performance and transformation outcomes.
Reporting into the Director, Transformation within the DS International Business Controlling team, this role is responsible for leading financial planning, business case development, value realization tracking, and performance management across key transformation initiatives. The Finance Manager will influence senior stakeholders across Finance, Commercial, Supply Chain, Operations, and Program Management teams, ensuring transformation investments deliver sustainable business value.
Working within the Transformation Office, this individual will play a critical role in shaping strategic priorities, driving financial rigor, identifying value creation opportunities, and supporting the successful execution of transformational change across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Transformation Execution & Governance
- Lead the day-to-day execution of strategic transformation initiatives across International Controlling, ensuring alignment with transformation objectives, timelines, and expected outcomes.
- Support the development and maintenance of transformation roadmaps, workplans, milestones, and success metrics.
- Establish robust tracking mechanisms to monitor progress, risks, dependencies, and benefit realization across transformation initiatives.
- Coordinate governance forums, prepare decision materials, and support issue escalation and resolution processes.
Finance Transformation & Continuous Improvement
- Drive standardization, simplification, and continuous improvement initiatives across international finance and controlling processes.
- Partner with process owners to identify opportunities to streamline workflows, improve efficiency, and enhance organizational effectiveness.
- Support the design and implementation of future-state operating models, processes, and tools.
- Track and measure transformation benefits to ensure sustainable value creation.
Business Partnering & Stakeholder Management
- Partner with finance, business, and functional leaders to support the implementation of transformation initiatives and drive organizational adoption.
- Act as a key liaison between project teams, finance leadership, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment and execution.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and ensure timely communication of transformation progress, decisions, and priorities.
- Translate complex financial and operational information into clear insights and actionable recommendations.
Change Management & Organizational Readiness
- Support change management planning and execution activities to drive stakeholder engagement, readiness, and adoption.
- Develop communication materials, leadership updates, and training support as needed.
- Monitor adoption metrics and identify opportunities to strengthen change effectiveness.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and collaboration across the organization.
Performance Reporting & Analytics
- Develop executive-ready dashboards, reporting, and presentations to support transformation governance and leadership decision-making.
- Analyse financial and operational performance data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities associated with transformation initiatives.
- Provide insights and recommendations to support leadership discussions and strategic decision-making.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of transformation progress and impact.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead project workstreams and coordinate activities across cross-functional teams.
- Coach, mentor, and provide guidance to analysts and project team members.
- Foster a high-performance environment focused on accountability, execution excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Demonstrate leadership through influence and collaboration in a matrix organization.
Compliance & Controls
- Ensure all transformation activities adhere to Johnson & Johnson Credo values, financial controls, compliance standards, and governance requirements.
- Partner with Finance and Compliance teams to assess risks and implement appropriate control mechanisms.
- Support audit readiness and documentation requirements associated with transformation initiatives.
Qualifications
Education
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
Preferred:
- MBA or Master's degree.
- CPA, CMA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent professional certification.
Experience
Required:
- Minimum 6-8 years of progressive experience in Finance, FP&A, Business Partnering, Finance Transformation, Consulting, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience partnering with senior business stakeholders and influencing strategic decisions.
- Experience leading financial planning, forecasting, and performance management processes.
- Strong experience developing business cases, financial models, and investment analyses.
- Proven ability to drive cross-functional initiatives and manage multiple complex priorities.
Preferred:
- Experience supporting large-scale transformation, separation, integration, or business improvement programs.
- Experience in a multinational and matrixed environment.
- Knowledge of value realization and program governance frameworks.
- Experience with ERP implementations, digital transformation, or operating model redesign initiatives.
- Proven track record of leading process improvement and simplification efforts.
- Prior people leadership or demonstrated leadership of project teams and workstreams.
Technical Skills
- Advanced financial modelling and analytics capabilities.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Experience with business intelligence and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, or similar).
- Strong knowledge of ERP platforms and financial reporting systems.
- Strong financial planning and performance management expertise.
