About this role
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists with planning and designing manufacturing processes in an industrial plant.
- Offers suggestions to improve production methods, determine manufacturing capacity and set up production schedules.
- Designs, fabricates, modifies and evaluates manufacturing processes such as machining, metal forming, plastics processing, welding and brazing, assembly and material handling.
- May assist with time and cost estimates.
- Implements approved process improvements to meet quality standards, performs feasibility studies and helps to solve manufacturing problems.
- Creates necessary documentation and aides in communication to personnel.
- Studies and makes recommendations for manufacturing facility layout regarding items such as sequence of operations, equipment layout and utilization and other related items.
- Researches new manufacturing methods, equipment and other manufacturing technologies and makes recommendations for implementation.
- Ensures that the organization's processes and equipment comply with all safety laws and regulations.
- Composes test and technical reports.
- Delivers simple or routine presentations.
- May provide work instructions to technicians.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 0-3+ years relevant experience
- Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, mechanical, electrical, industrial or other engineering discipline
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and excellent presentation skills
- Excellent customer service skills with an ability to approach every business relationship as a partnership
- Excellent problem solving skills and demonstrated ability to address customer issues and partner on resolutions
- Excellent analytical skills
- Excellent negotiation skills and an ability to resolve situations while making a point firmly and seeking a positive outcome for both sides
- In-depth understanding and demonstrated competency in working with computer software and mainframe applications to manipulate, analyze and reconcile data
- Ability to effectively apply the PDCA process to identify potential process improvements
- Strong project management skills

- Ability to demonstrate creativity and ingenuity in solving problems in a timely manner

Annual Salary: $64,000 - $79,000
