Head of Accounting Greece
Athens, Greece
Lead Accounting. Drive Compliance. Shape the Future.
EssilorLuxottica is looking for a Head of Accounting Greece to lead accounting operations across our Greek entities and play a key role in supporting the continued growth and transformation of our business.
This is a highly visible leadership role with direct exposure to local and regional finance leadership. Beyond managing accounting operations, you will act as a trusted business partner, ensuring compliance, driving process excellence, and supporting strategic financial initiatives.
Your Impact
As Head of Accounting, you will:
- Lead and develop a team of accounting professionals
- Oversee accounting activities across multiple legal entities in Greece
- Ensure accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
- Guarantee compliance with Greek GAAP, IFRS, tax regulations, and MyDATA requirements
- Partner closely with Global Business Services (GBS), Controlling, Treasury, Tax, and external auditors
- Provide technical accounting expertise and guidance to the business
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and strengthen internal controls
- Act as a key contributor to future organizational developments, including anticipated scope expansion
What We're Looking For
- Class A Licensed Accountant with active Class A signatory rights
- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong expertise in Greek GAAP and IFRS
- Proven leadership experience managing and developing teams
- Hands-on experience with SAP ERP and reporting tools
- Strong knowledge of Greek tax regulations and MyDATA
- Fluent Greek and English
- Experience within a manufacturing, industrial, FMCG, or production environment
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, international environment
