About this role

The E&I/C Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading all electrical instrumentation, and controls maintenance activities at the Tallgrass Energy Center-an off-grid, large-scale AI-dedicated critical power, multi‑unit generation campus that is planned to produce approximately 2.5 GW of initial capacity with expansion capability up to 10 GW from a fleet of simple‑cycle gas turbines and combined‑cycle gas turbine (CCGT) technologies. This role ensures the safe, reliable, and compliant performance of critical electrical and control systems that support continuous, mission‑critical power generation.

The E&I/C Maintenance Supervisor provides leadership to E&I/C craft personnel and contractors, overseeing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities, as well as scheduled and forced outages. The position is accountable for the reliability and integrity of MV/LV electrical distribution systems, protection and relay systems, instrumentation and analyzers (including CEMS), and the Emerson Ovation DCS . Responsibilities include safe work execution, outage coordination, configuration control, system documentation accuracy, and advanced technical troubleshooting across all E&I/C assets.

This E&I/C Maintenance Supervisor is accountable for zero‑defect execution in high‑risk electrical, instrumentation, and controls work where error tolerance is low. The E&I/C Maintenance Supervisor enforces disciplined procedure use, independent verification, peer checks, and place‑keeping during energized work, protection system testing, DCS modifications, and control logic changes. Execution quality is measured through defined KPIs, including but not limited to r ework rate, first‑pass yield of maintenance evolutions, protection and DCS error events, schedule adherence, and documentation accuracy , with corrective actions required for any execution or configuration deficiencies.

The E&I/C Maintenance Supervisor applies Human Performance (HP) principles and Tallgrass culture expectations to drive learning, accountability, and continuous improvement. The supervisor ensures Tallgrass values and HP principles are included in effective pre‑job briefs, quality post‑job reviews, and robust event reporting. The role actively encourages reporting of wiring errors, configuration discrepancies, procedural gaps, and near misses without fear of reprisal. HP event reviews focus on system design, documentation control, work management practices, and organizational contributors rather than individual fault, strengthening long‑term reliability and execution excellence.

The E&I/C Maintenance Supervisor works closely with Operations, Planning, Scheduling, Procurement, Reliability Engineering, Supply Chain, EHS, and the O&M Contractor to meet Tallgrass Energy’s safety, regulatory, environmental, and mission‑critical data center commercial objectives while supporting safe, reliable, and repeatable plant
