About this role

Sizewell C’s business is to design, finance, construct, commission, operate, maintain, and eventually decommission the nuclear power plant and related infrastructure at Sizewell C in Suffolk. Overall, whilst the Company is in the construction phase, the Boards’ principal focus is on the development and construction of Sizewell C on time, on budget and to the highest quality and safety standards. The Company is maturing to meet all these requirements.

Sizewell C is economically regulated by OFGEM under the RAB model similar to other UK electricity distribution networks and Thames Tideway.

Sizewell C construction strategy is to replicate the design of Hinkley Point C, using the majority of the same supply chain, but innovating in the way it is delivered to achieve savings in time and cost of around 20%. The CCO will need to be guided by and incorporate lessons learned from the Hinkley Point C commercial delivery to achieve Sizewell C’s ambition.

Following Financial Completion and Revenue Commencement, Sizewell C is fully funded and is owned by; The Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero representing HM Government, La Caisse, Centrica, EDF and Amber Infrastructure.

Location: Sizewell C, Leiston, Suffolk (5 days a week onsite).

Contract: Permanent, full- time.

Salary: Competitive -dependent on experience.

Lead One of the UK's Most Significant Infrastructure Projects

Sizewell C is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of a diverse portfolio of Site Operations projects and support services, supporting one of the UK's largest infrastructure projects.

Reporting to the Site Operations Site Lead , you will lead and manage a team of Site Operations Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers and Service Delivery Managers, overseeing the planning and delivery of welfare facilities, site infrastructure, operational projects and key supporting services across the Sizewell C programme. The role requires strong leadership, stakeholder management, project controls expertise, and an unwavering commitment to health and safety.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage the Site Operations Projects team.

- Lead and manage Site Operations Service Delivery Managers for a variety of key Site Operations supporting services

- Provide guidance, oversight, leadership and governance for the teams in regard to budget, compliance, milestones and governance and all aspects of safety supporting the SZC Zero Harm ambition

- Deliver multiple site operations projects safely, on time, and within budget.

- Have budget oversight and budget governance responsibilities

- Coordinate welfare and facilities requirements to support workforce growth.

- Act as the interface between Site Operations, Buildings, and key project stakeholders.

- Manage contractor performance, risk assessments, and project governance.

- Support development of site infrastructure, utilities, and operational facilities.

- Maintain strong relationships with senior leaders and project teams.

What We're Looking For

- Degree (or equivalent) in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.

- SMSTS or IOSH qualification.

- Significant project management experience within major infrastructure or construction projects.

- Strong understanding of Principal Contractor responsibilities.

- Experience in areas such as site establishment, logistics, facilities management, infrastructure, utilities, or earthworks.

- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable

- CIOB or MICE membership.

- Experience working on large-scale infrastructure or energy projects.
