Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Day Porter to provide cleaning and general facility support at a professional facility in Clarksburg, Maryland . The Day Porter will help maintain a clean, safe, and presentable work environment throughout the day.

IMPORTANT SECURITY REQUIREMENT:
This position requires the individual to be a U.S. Citizen. The position supports the cleaning and maintenance of a facility operated by a Department of Defense (DOD) contractor and is subject to site-specific security requirements. Applicants who are not U.S. Citizens will not be considered for this position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Perform routine cleaning and janitorial duties throughout the assigned facility.
- Maintain cleanliness of common areas, offices, restrooms, break rooms, and other designated areas.
- Empty trash and recycling containers and replace liners as needed.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust floors and surfaces.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish restroom supplies.
- Maintain cleanliness of entrances, hallways, and other high-traffic areas.
- Monitor assigned areas throughout the day and address cleaning needs as they arise.
- Report maintenance, safety, or facility concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
- Follow established cleaning procedures, safety requirements, and site-specific protocols.
- Properly use and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Follow all applicable security requirements and facility access procedures.
- Perform other cleaning and facility-support duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Bilingual (English-Spanish speaker), highly preferred
- Previous janitorial, custodial, porter, housekeeping, or commercial cleaning experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
- Strong attention to cleanliness and detail.
- Dependable, punctual, and professional.
- Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and facility personnel.
- Ability to follow safety and security procedures.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and perform physical cleaning duties for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry cleaning supplies and equipment as required.
- Must be able to successfully meet all applicable DOD contractor site-access and security requirements .
