We are looking for a Junior IT Support & Workplace Operations Specialist to support Cuculus employees with daily IT needs and to manage the operational processes around users, equipment, access, and IT assets.

This role is ideal for someone organized, service-oriented, technically curious, and interested in developing a career in IT operations.
## Your Role at a Glance

- Onboarding & offboarding Coordinate employee onboarding, transfers, and offboarding across our three offices and remote locations, using clear checklists and approval processes.
- Purchase, prepare, configure, and deliver laptops, mobile devices, accessories, applications, accounts, and access rights for new employees.
- Collect company equipment during offboarding and coordinate account deactivation, access removal, secure wiping, and disposal.

- Daily IT support Handle daily IT support tickets and resolve common hardware, software, account, access, and connectivity issues.
- Support users with Microsoft 365, email, browsers, MFA, VPN, Wi-Fi, printers, and standard workplace applications.
- Monitor ticket priorities, communicate progress to users, and escalate unresolved, high-impact, or security-related issues to the appropriate IT team member.

- Accounts, devices & events Perform basic account and access administration according to documented procedures.
- Support device enrollment, configuration, patching, and compliance through the MDM platform.
- Provide meeting-room and event technology support when required, including setup, troubleshooting, and breakdown.

- IT assets & security Maintain accurate records of laptops, phones, monitors, peripherals, software licenses, ownership, location, condition, warranties, repairs, replacements, and disposal.
- Assist with regular audits of IT assets, software licenses, endpoint compliance, and user access, reporting discrepancies or risks.
- Help ensure the secure handling of company equipment, access credentials, and user information.

- Documentation & improvement Keep tickets, asset records, onboarding checklists, and knowledge-base articles accurate and up to date.
- Identify recurring issues and suggest improvements to IT processes, documentation, and user experience.

## Your profile
Must-haves (to thrive in this role)
- Experience & know-how Initial experience in IT support, helpdesk, workplace technology, or a similar role.
- Basic knowledge of Windows, Microsoft 365, user accounts, hardware, networking, and troubleshooting.
- A degree in computer science, a completed IT apprenticeship, or an equivalent qualification.

- How you work Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Customer-focused communication style and patience when supporting users.
- Ability to follow procedures while also investigating problems independently.
- Good documentation habits and willingness to learn.
- Awareness of information security, confidentiality, and appropriate access handling.

- Location & language You can work on site at one of our offices in Ilmenau, Erfurt or Leipzig 3 days per week and occasionally travel between our offices.
- Our company language is English - good English skills are a must.

Nice-to-haves (great if you have them, but not a dealbreaker)
- Tools Jira Service Management or another ticketing system.
- MDM or endpoint-management platforms.
- Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft 365 administration.
- Hardware lifecycle and asset-management tools.
- Basic PowerShell or scripting knowledge.

- Background ITIL Foundation or similar training.
- Experience supporting Linux users or technical teams.
