About this role
## What we’re looking for
We are looking for an early-career Commercial Strategy & Operations Associate to join the office of our Chief Commercial Officer. In this role you sit at the centre of our commercial engine: you help turn leadership priorities into structured workstreams, build the narratives and materials that shape key decisions, and keep our commercial processes running across teams — from strategy work and investor preparation to high-visibility events. You will report to the Commercial Manager and work in regular exchange with the Chief Commercial Officer.
This position is designed for candidates in the first years of their career who want real responsibility early, enjoy variety and pace, and want to grow with a rapidly scaling European defence-tech company.
## The day-to-day
- Support the development and execution of our commercial strategy, helping translate company priorities into concrete workstreams and action plans
- Contribute to commercial narratives, positioning materials and executive-level presentations that support key internal and external decisions
- Help run and improve our commercial processes — such as pipeline reviews, KPI tracking and management reporting — and support coordination across teams to ensure follow-through and timely delivery
- Support the preparation of investor rounds, including materials, data coordination and stakeholder communication
- Help plan and deliver internal and external events, from strategic offsites to investor and partner engagements
- Take ownership of selected workstreams and ad-hoc analyses, delivering with speed, discretion and attention to detail
You should apply if you
- Have gained first experience — through internships, working-student roles or a first full-time position — in a commercial, strategy, business development or comparable role, ideally in a fast-paced or entrepreneurial environment
- Hold a university degree — preferably a Master’s — in business, economics, political science, security studies, law, engineering or a related field
- Combine a strong analytical mindset with the judgement to prioritise and make decisions under ambiguity
- Communicate confidently, clearly and professionally, including at senior and executive level
- Thrive in a dynamic, fast-growing environment and enjoy switching between strategic and hands-on work
- Are confident in using PowerPoint, Excel, Word and AI-supported tools
- Are fluent in English; fluent German (C1/C2) is strongly preferred
- Have a genuine interest in the intersection of technology, defence and fast-growing companies
- Are willing to undergo a security vetting procedure where required for the role
Nice to haves
- First exposure to investor relations, fundraising or start-up financing in a scale-up or venture-backed environment
- Existing contacts within German or European defence , aerospace or public-sector institutions
- Experience in organising events or managing projects with multiple stakeholders
What we offer
- Real impact & ownership: Responsibility from day one at the centre of a company building sovereign European defence capabilities — with flat hierarchies, fast decisions, and space for your ideas.
- Steep learning curve: Regular exposure to the commercial leadership team, and hands-on involvement in strategy, investor processes, government customers and events within your first year — a front-row seat to how a defence -tech scale-up is built.
- Mission-driven environment: Work on unmanned systems that matter for European security and sovereignty, with real operational use cases.
- Competitive package: Competitive salary, equity options aligned with role and level, EGYM Wellpass and corporate benefits — plus flexible working hours, room for occasional remote days, and relocation support.
- Strong team: International, driven colleagues and a culture built on exchange, trust, and shared success.
