About this role

We are looking for an Alarm Monitoring Operator to join our Alarm Receiving Centre team at our Head Office. If you're customer-focused, remain calm under pressure, have a keen eye for detail, and can respond to alarms and customer enquiries professionally and efficiently, we'd love to hear from you.

Working on rotating weekly shifts (days and nights) our Alarm Monitoring Operators at Banham are integral to the monitoring service and support we provide our customers 24/7, 365 days a year.

Your experience in a customer service-focused environment will enable you to:

- Deliver exceptional customer service with confidence, professionalism, and a calm approach to every call.
- Be the reassuring voice our customers rely on when responding to alarm activations and enquiries.
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a close-knit team, ensuring alarms are processed accurately and efficiently.
- Build positive relationships with customers, emergency services, internal departments, and out-of-hours engineers.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail when inputting data, reviewing reports, and carrying out routine checks.
- Monitor high-profile CCTV accounts while maintaining the highest standards of vigilance and professionalism. (An SIA PSS CCTV Licence is required for this role; however, if you don't already hold this qualification, we'll support you in obtaining it within your first three months with Banham.)
- Embrace learning opportunities and develop your knowledge of Keyholding and other areas of the business.
- Take ownership of customer issues, helping to deliver a seamless and positive customer experience.
- Recognise trends, identify potential concerns, and communicate important information to your Manager or Supervisor.
- Uphold company policies, procedures, and the highest standards of confidentiality and discretion.

Please note: This is a shift-based role working every other week, with working weeks rotating between 12-hour day shifts (6:00am to 6:00pm) and night shifts (6:00pm to 6:00am).
