Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced ESL (ESLint) Developer to ensure code quality, consistency, maintainability, and performance across large-scale JavaScript and TypeScript codebases. The role will focus on developing custom ESLint rules and plugins, enforcing coding standards, and supporting scalable front-end engineering, particularly within large-scale e-commerce applications.
Responsibilities
- Develop, configure, and maintain ESLint rules and configurations .
- Build custom ESLint rules and plugins based on development and coding standards.
- Define and enforce coding standards across JavaScript and TypeScript applications.
- Identify code-quality, consistency, maintainability, and performance issues.
- Build and maintain reusable ESLint configurations across multiple projects.
- Integrate ESLint and automated code-quality checks into CI/CD pipelines .
- Optimize linting processes for large codebases and monorepos.
- Troubleshoot ESLint configurations, parsers, plugins, and dependency issues.
- Support ESLint upgrades, migrations, and continuous improvements.
- Collaborate with front-end development teams to improve overall development and code-quality standards.
Must-Have Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with ESLint .
- Experience developing custom ESLint rules and plugins .
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript .
- Good understanding of AST and static code analysis .
- Experience with modern front-end development, preferably React.js .
- Experience with Git and npm/Yarn/pnpm .
- Experience integrating code-quality checks into CI/CD pipelines .
- Experience working with large-scale JavaScript/TypeScript codebases .
Good-to-Have Skills
- Experience with large-scale e-commerce applications .
- Knowledge of Next.js and Node.js .
- Experience with Nx or Turborepo .
- Knowledge of Prettier and Stylelint .
- Experience with SonarQube or similar code-quality tools.
- Experience with Husky and lint-staged .
- Knowledge of Jest or similar testing frameworks.
- Experience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps .
