The Opportunity:
CACI is looking for a Junior Systems Administrator to support a key program based in Chesapeake, VA as part of our Enterprise Solutions & Services team.
We are looking for a motivated self-starter with initiative and the aptitude to learn quickly and apply new skills to technical and procedural challenges. The ability to be adaptable, troubleshoot effectively, and work constructively with a technically diverse team is important. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a strong foundation in systems administration and infrastructure operations while developing broader technical skills over time.
You will join the program's Platform team supporting the servers, cloud infrastructure, security/compliance activities, and enterprise services used by multiple mission-facing applications
Responsibilities:
- Support routine infrastructure operations including Windows Server patching, maintenance, and verification
- Support IT asset inventory, administrative recordkeeping, and other recurring infrastructure support activities
- Process certificate requests and renewals and assist with certificate installation
- Execute STIG and other security/compliance scanning tools and support remediation of known findings
- Create and maintain Active Directory service accounts, groups, and group-managed service accounts
- Install, configure, and verify standard monitoring and systems-management agents
- Execute scheduled database refresh procedures and other documented operational tasks
- Assist with server build-out, application installation, and infrastructure configuration
- Perform problem diagnosis, troubleshooting, and resolution for routine infrastructure issues
- Support monitoring, maintenance, and operational activities across Windows and cloud environments
- Use and modify PowerShell or other scripts to support repeatable operational processes
- Create and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and internal wiki content
Qualifications:
Required:
- Meet applicable DoD 8140 requirements through a qualifying technical degree, Security+ CE or other approved certification, or another accepted qualification pathway .
- Active DoD Secret clearance
- Experience with Windows Server administration
- Familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy
- Basic scripting experience using PowerShell or similar scripting tools
- Familiarity with networking concepts including DNS, IP addressing, ports/protocols, routing, SSL/TLS, and load balancing
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to follow documented technical procedures and appropriately escalate complex issues
- Demonstrated initiative and willingness to learn new technologies
Desired:
- Experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or other cloud services
- Familiarity to Infrastructure as Code concepts and tools such as Terraform
- Exposure to SharePoint Server or Microsoft SQL Server administration
- Experience with vulnerability remediation, STIGs, or other DoD security/compliance activities
- Experience working with or around DoD networks
- Experience supporting the U.S. Navy or Navy Reserve Forces Command

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$53,100-$106,300
