About this role

Ecolab is seeking a Quality Control Supervisor to lead our Quality Control team within a manufacturing environment. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring all inspection and testing activities comply with ISO 9001 standards and company quality objectives while supporting operational excellence, product quality, continuous improvement initiatives, and laboratory safety. You will lead a team of eight technicians and one principal chemist, providing direction, coaching, training, and development while fostering a culture of quality, accountability, and safety.

What You Will Do:

- Supervise Quality Control inspectors, technicians, and laboratory personnel, including scheduling, coaching, performance management, and career development.
- Develop and deliver training programs focused on inspection methods, measurement techniques, ISO 9001 requirements, equipment operation, laboratory safety practices, chemical handling, and emergency response procedures.
- Mentor team members to strengthen technical capabilities and reinforce safe work practices.
- Oversee inspection and testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality specifications.
- Review, approve, and maintain inspection reports, laboratory results, and nonconformance documentation.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timely completion of quality records and testing activities.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve laboratory workflows, reduce testing cycle times, and enhance testing accuracy and reliability.
- Evaluate and implement new inspection tools, testing methods, technologies, and quality practices to optimize operations.
- Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, and other functional teams to drive process improvements and resolve quality-related issues.
- Support root cause investigations and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
- Maintain compliance with ISO 9001 standards, regulatory requirements, and internal quality systems.
- Support internal audits and participate in external customer and certification audits.
- Promote and enforce all safety regulations, policies, and procedures within the laboratory environment.
- Conduct routine safety audits, risk assessments, and corrective action follow-up activities.

Position Details (Location & Work Schedule):

- Full-time position
- On-site manufacturing environment
- Monday through Friday
- First Shift schedule: 6:45 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Position supervises a team of eight technicians and one principal chemist

Minimum Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Quality Management, or a related technical field.
- Five years of Quality Control experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Three years of supervisory or leadership experience overseeing technical or laboratory personnel.
- Two years of SAP experience, including entering laboratory results and processing material status movements.
- Experience with inspection tools, measurement techniques, and quality management systems.
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to support an on-site work schedule.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience working within an ISO 9001 certified manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC), root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience leading laboratory operations and testing programs.
- Audit experience supporting internal, customer, and third-party certification audits.
- Experience implementing CAPA programs and quality system improvements.
- Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma experience.
- Proficiency with quality reporting and data analysis tools.

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range
The pay range for this position is $85,900.00 - $128,900.00. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
