Amentum, a global leader in advanced engineering, technical, and professional services serving the US government, allies and critical infrastructure sectors, is seeking an IT Manager to support a government contract based on the island of Diego Garcia.
PURPOSE / SCOPE
This position supports efforts to be performed by Amentum including facilities Construction, Operation & Maintenance (O&M) and Support Services on a military island. The contract supports all IT related efforts varying in complexity from minor/major system upgrades, renovations, to existing facilities, and new construction. The priority is to implement and maintain a successful O&M program to provide life, health and safety for site personnel, while ensuring continuous operations of the site infrastructure.
The IT Manager will manage IT support and management organization and to interface with the KO, COR, and organizations to meet all requirements within this specification while ensuring successful performance and compliance with Performance Work Statement (PWS), Program, USG, and international requirements and guidelines. Ensures compliance with standard management practices including but not limited to monitoring, records keeping, report preparation, training, inspections, data reporting, etc. Will perform other duties as assigned.
The IT Manager will be available for on-call support as needed 24 hours/day, 7 days/week in this role.
QUALIFICATIONS
- B achelor’s degree in an associated discipline preferred; two (2) years of experience in related field may be substituted for each year of the four (4) years of college
- Relevant experience at a comparable level of responsibility in projects of similar size, scope and complexity
- Must be certified Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP), and Cisco Certified Internet Expert (CCIE).
- As assigned local system and application management functions shall be certified as Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), Microsoft Certified Desktop Technician (MCDST), and Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP).
- Documented experience in the documentation of USN (United States Navy) standards strongly preferred
- Experience providing high quality customer service
- Demonstrated experience in help desk activities, recapitalization, networks, development of system security plans, and protected communication technologies
- Minimum of three years experience related to systems management
- Experience with United States Naval Networks networks·
- Three (3) years experience in a leadership role in an austere OCONUS environment with a multi-national workforce
- Must be familiar with current global, US, Program and PWS requirements
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US passport and driver's license throughout employment in this role
- Ability to successfully pass PACOM medical requirements and maintain requirements for duration of deployment
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance
WORK ENVIRONMENT, PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Able to stand for long periods of time such as eight (8) to ten (10) hours, bend, kneel, and reach to store/retrieve supplies
- Able to lift, carry, and push supplies and boxes up to 50 pounds
- Living and working conditions at the assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable
- May work in a typical office environment
