Position Description Summary/Purpose :

The Radiography Program, part of the School of Nursing and Health Professions, at Goodwin University is seeking an ARRT certified radiologic technologist to serve as an adjunct clinical instructor in our evening/weekend radiography program. This is an adjunct position to perform clinical site visits for the radiography program. You would be responsible for supervising students during their assignments in various clinical education settings.

*This would be for a Spring 2027January start*

The two shifts we have available:

- Saturdays and Sundays from 8 am – 4:30 pm

- Mondays, Wednesdays,Fridays and Saturdays from 3 pm – 11:30 pm

Essential Job Functions/Primary Responsibilities :

- Facilitate the students clinical experience at a variety of clinical facilities

- Review and provide weekly feedback to students on clinical tasks and other assignments as appropriate.

- Maintaining knowledge of program mission and goals

- Understanding the clinical objectives and clinical evaluation system and evaluating students’ clinical competence

- Providing students with clinical instruction and supervision

- Participating in the JRCERT assessment process, as appropriate

- Maintaining current knowledge of program policies, procedures, and student progress

- Monitoring and enforcing program policies and procedures

Other Functions :

- Performs similar or related work as required, directed or as situation dictates.

- Maintains professional development and training; keeps current with trends.

- Assists other radiography department staff as needed to promote a team effort.

Knowledge, Ability and Skill :

- Demonstrated commitment to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion, and work in an environment in which all members of the University community are treated with respect and dignity.

- Ability to effectively communicate with clinical partners, colleagues and students

- Direct general radiography, mobile radiography and emergency room clinical experience, with a minimum of 2 years of such experience

Education, Training and Experience :

- Minimum of an Associate’s degree is required; Bachelor of Science degree preferred

- Clinical supervision experience with radiography students is preferred.

- An active ARRT Certification

- Eligibility for licensure as a radiographer in the State of Connecticut

- Potential exists for the applicant to obtain a radiographer license in the state of Massachusetts
