About this role
Under general supervision, responsible for the care and treatment of laboratory animals. Monitors animal health and assists in clinical procedures and surgical operations used in laboratory experiments.
Schedule: Monday-Friday from 7:00am-4:00pm
- Demonstrated knowledge of animal behavior, handling and care. Intermediate
- Demonstrated ability to perform veterinary technician tasks. Intermediate
- Demonstrated ability to monitor important and complex procedures concurrently while working as part of a multidisciplinary team. Intermediate
- Possess strong attention to detail, analytical, time management and organizational skills. Intermediate
- Excellent organizational and communication skills. Intermediate
- Analytical skills to gather and interpret data. Intermediate
- Valid driver's license and able to drive institutional vehicles.
EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
LICENSES:
- Assistant Laboratory Animal Technician (ALAT) certification through American Association for Laboratory Animal Sciences (AALAS) is preferred.
