About the role: Location: Anson, TX. Per diem available

We are searching for a Construction Manager on behalf of our client. This is a 1-year contract assignment. (W-2) The construction manager is responsible for the project's success from a field level. They are the bridge between the field and the Project Manager. 70% office and 30% field on average in this position. You will be responsible for coordinating and managing construction work performed by contractors and/or vendors at the project site. You will be responsible for assessing productivity, schedule compliance, work quality, and safety performance on the project.

Key Responsibilities:

Preconstruction

- Let the contractor know the expectations for the job.

- Preform Kickoff Meeting

- You should read and know the permits, road use agreements, crossing agreements, SWPPP, haul routes, drawings, material, schedule, QA/QC, Submittals to engineering for review

- Set expectations, lead, and train the team

- Site Safety Orientation, Site Specific Safety Plan (Read it)

Construction

- Develop a good relationship with the contractor (if possible)

- Be engaged in the project

- Track progress, Approve the CSU (project Tracking Spread sheet needs to be accurate)

- Monitor the environmental constraints before/during work activities (SWPPP)

- Stay involved in outage/ crossing coordination (don't leave it up to the contractor only)

Qualifications:

- Education: High School Diploma or General Education Development

- Relevant Experience: 6+ years of experience in power plant commissioning, working with EPC Contractors, engineering firms, and equipment suppliers

We are committed to transparency and equity in all our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $63.00/hr to $73.00/hr.
