Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Programme Manager to lead complex, cross-functional programmes that support strategic priorities, business transformation and operational improvement across the Group.

This role will translate strategic objectives into executable delivery plans, establish effective frameworks and governance, manage dependencies and risks, provide clear visibility of progress and ensure measurable outcomes are achieved.

The successful candidate will combine strong programme management discipline with commercial awareness, sound judgement and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced and evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities

(Including, but not limited to)

Programme leadership and delivery

- Lead multiple, concurrent strategic programmes across the Corporate Strategy portfolio.
- Define objectives, scope, deliverables, milestones, resources, budgets and success measures.
- Develop and maintain detailed plans covering ownership, dependencies, risks, issues and benefits.
- Ensure delivery remains aligned to agreed priorities, timelines, quality standards and outcomes.

Governance, risk and reporting

- Establish proportionate governance, decision-making forums and delivery cadences.
- Actively manage risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies throughout the project lifecycle.
- Escalate critical issues appropriately and recommend mitigation actions.
- Produce concise executive reporting, status dashboards, decision logs and progress updates.
- Capture lessons learned and continuously improve PMO standards, tools and templates.

Stakeholder and Change management

- Coordinate work across functions including Finance, Technology, Sales, People and Legal.
- Facilitate workshops and planning sessions and challenge constructively.
- Build relationships and alignment among senior stakeholders, delivery teams and external partners.
- Communicate project status, risks, decisions and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Support business readiness, integration and adoption activities.

Experience & Skills

- 10+ years of project management experience
- Strong track record of delivering complex business or technology transformation projects.
- Advanced capability in project planning, governance and executive reporting.
- Required experience co-ordinating multiple workstreams cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Required experience managing project budgets, timelines, and dependencies.
- Preferred experience in M&A transactions and Integration planning and execution.
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to connect programme activity to business value.
- Excellent organisational, problem-solving, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- A recognised qualification such as PRINCE2, MSP, Agile or PMI is advantageous.

The base salary for this position is £100,000 plus an annual bonus. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual.
