Associate Attorney/Future Partner Opportunity
Perdue, Brandon, Fielder, Collins and Mott L.L.P. (Perdue Brandon) is seeking a Full-Time Associate Attorney to join its Arlington, Texas office. This opportunity is open to Texas-licensed attorneys, including recent graduates and experienced practitioners, who are interested in developing a substantive litigation practice within an established and respected law firm.
Associates work closely with partners and senior attorneys and are involved in all phases of litigation, from inception through resolution. The Firm provides formal training, mentorship, and a collaborative professional environment- with no billable-hour requirement .
Our Practice
Perdue Brandon represents governmental entities throughout Texas in tax collection and related legal matters. For more than 50 years, the Firm has exclusively served public-sector clients, helping them recover revenue essential to funding community services.
Associates gain hands-on experience with:
- Tax collections and governmental receivables
- Delinquent property tax enforcement and related court proceedings
- Client communication and counseling with public-sector officials
- Statewide management of tax-related legal matters
- Litigation from initial filing through resolution
- Appellate matters, as needed
Responsibilities
The Associate Attorney will:
- Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery, judgments, and legal memoranda
- Manage active court dockets across multiple jurisdictions
- Make court appearances and participate in hearings and other legal proceedings
- Advise governmental clients on tax collection and related legal matters
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and other stakeholders
- Assist with appellate matters as needed
- Participate in client development and Firm initiatives, including local and statewide professional events

Qualifications
- Licensed to practice law in Texas
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Ability to manage a substantial caseload and meet deadlines
- Sound judgment and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and colleagues
- Prior legal experience preferred, but not required
