Position Overview
We are seeking a highly analytical and experienced Chief of Staff to serve as a critical partner to the CEO and the leadership team. This high-impact individual contributor role will be responsible for defining and driving key strategic initiatives, optimizing internal operational effectiveness, and supporting the company’s next phase of growth by partnering closely with other team members on strategic partnerships. Your capacity to thrive within a fast-paced and dynamic landscape, coupled with your strategic foresight, will be instrumental in steering our expansion. This is a unique opportunity for a technically proficient leader to drive both operational excellence and long-term corporate development within the acute neurological care space.
What you'll achieve
Strategic Initiatives
- Partner closely with the CEO to lead and manage strategic projects, developing detailed work plans, conducting market analysis, and preparing final recommendations for the executive leadership team (ELT) and the Board of Directors.
- Support company-level strategic decision-making (e.g., new market entry, capital allocation, M&A) by providing data-driven analysis on market access, competitive landscape, and pricing strategy, in partnership with the Product team’s market and portfolio analysis.
- Coordinate and drive high-priority multifaceted ad hoc projects that demand cross-functional cooperation, guaranteeing punctual completion and alignment with overarching objectives.
Executive Support
- Facilitate and organize critical day-to-day operations of the CEO’s office, including planning and structuring CEO staff meetings, tracking key decisions, and ensuring timely execution of executive priorities.
- Support executive processes such as QBRs, AOP planning and budgeting.
- Serve as a dependable advisor to the CEO, providing insights and recommendations on strategic decisions.
- Function as a conduit between departments, expediting information exchange and collaborative issue resolution.
- Assist in managing external partnerships and stakeholders, exemplifying the company with the utmost professionalism.
Strategic Partnerships Support:
- Partner with other team members to help identify and evaluate potential partners for co-commercialization collaborations in the neurology space, bringing an executive/strategic lens to prioritization.
- Partner with Finance on financial modeling and market sizing analysis to support board- and executive-level strategic decision-making.
- Support the Executive Leadership Team’s due diligence and negotiation of complex strategic alliance and license agreements, particularly on board- and executive-level framing and decision points.
- Develop clear, high-impact presentations and communication materials for internal stakeholders and external partners, translating complex technical and business risks into clear executive recommendations.
Leadership & Culture Support:
- Partner with the People team on executive and leadership-level hiring, onboarding, and development.
- Foster a constructive and inclusive company culture, aligned with our values and mission.
What you’ll need to be successful
- Advanced degree (Ph.D. or Master's) in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) is strongly preferred. Neuroscience, Biomedical Engineering, or related fields are highly valued.
- 8 years business experience, of which >3 years experience with management consulting, investment banking, or similar roles.
- Familiarity with business development or licensing processes in pharmaceutical or medtech companies is a plus.
- Demonstrated track record in a senior management capacity, preferably within the medical device or healthcare sector.
- Strong strategic analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate at all levels of the organization.
- Proven ability to lead complex projects and drive results within a fast-paced, high-growth MedTech environment.
- Demonstrated experience in project management and process improvement.
- Ability to navigate an evolving environment and oversee competing priorities adeptly. Exceptional ethical standards, professionalism, and discretion.
Compensation Range $275,000 — $293,000 USD
A candidate’s final salary offer will be based on their skills, education, work location and experience, and thus it may differ from the posted range. Compensation may also include bonuses consistent with Ceribell’s corporate compensation plan.
