Primary Duties & Responsibilities
1. Facility Information Governance
- Establish and govern the site's facility documentation program, including standards, processes, and best practices.
- Serve as the site owner for facility layouts, engineering drawings, space allocation records, and as-built documentation.
- Ensure facility documentation remains accurate, current, accessible, and reflects the physical facility.
- Develop governance processes that maintain documentation integrity throughout the facility lifecycle.
2. Facility Layout, CAD & Drawing Management
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve facility layouts, floor plans, engineering drawings, and space allocation records using AutoCAD and related design software.
- Develop and maintain CAD standards, templates, title blocks, layer conventions, drawing libraries, and engineering drafting best practices.
- Update facility layouts and engineering drawings to support capital projects, equipment installations, renovations, infrastructure modifications, and organizational changes.
- Review contractor drawings and markups, incorporating approved design revisions and as-built information into controlled engineering documentation.
- Maintain room numbering, occupancy, and space assignment records to support facility planning and space utilization.
- Manage engineering drawing revisions to ensure facility documentation accurately reflects existing site conditions.
3. Capital Project Support & Engineering Documentation
- Serve as an active member of capital project teams from planning through project closeout.
- Establish documentation requirements for capital projects, including engineering deliverables, drawing standards, metadata, and as-built records.
- Develop and maintain engineering drawings and facility layouts for internally executed projects.
- Review and integrate documentation from architectural, engineering, and design-build partners into the site's controlled records.
- Conduct field walkdowns to verify facility changes and incorporate approved design revisions, contractor redlines, and as-built information.
- Coordinate project documentation turnover to ensure engineering records are complete, accurate, and incorporated into the site's documentation system.
4. Process Development & Continuous Improvement
- Design and implement standardized processes for facility documentation and engineering record management.
- Evaluate, recommend, and support implementation of digital tools that improve facility documentation, space management, and engineering information management.
- Audit facility documentation to verify alignment with actual site conditions.
- Identify opportunities to improve documentation quality, accessibility, and efficiency through standardization and automation.
Education & Experience
- 3–5 years of experience maintaining engineering drawings and technical documentation in an industrial, manufacturing, or engineering environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology, Drafting, Architecture, Construction Management, Facilities Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline. In lieu of a bachelor's degree, an equivalent combination of education, technical training, and directly related professional experience will be considered.
- Experience using CAD software to develop and maintain facility layouts and engineering drawings. Proficiency in AutoCAD is a must, experience in REVIT is a plus.
- Experience with engineering drawing standards and revision management.
- Experience supporting construction, facilities engineering, or capital projects.
- Experience coordinating documentation across multiple stakeholders.
- Experience with data centers, healthcare facilities, or other MEP-intensive/technically complex projects is a plus.
- Experience with industry-standard Common Data Environment (CDE) or engineering content management platforms is preferred (e.g., Bentley ProjectWise, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), Newforma, or equivalent).

Working Conditions
- Ability to work in an open concept office environment.
- Requires movement between office areas, construction zones, cleanrooms, and manufacturing environments throughout the workday.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally (<5%).
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform extended site walks and inspections, including navigating uneven surfaces and active construction sites.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working at a computer
- Ability to communicate effectively in meetings, presentations, and virtual environments
- Ability to lift and carry light materials as required
