Join a great team in the exciting world of live sports and entertainment. Bon Secours Wellness Arena is hiring a full time Maintenance Technician to keep our facility safe and event ready. Responsibilities

- Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on facility systems, equipment, fixtures, and building components.

- Inspect the facility and equipment to identify maintenance needs, equipment deficiencies, and safety concerns. Address issues within assigned responsibilities and training, and report those requiring specialized service or further direction.
- Troubleshoot and perform general repairs involving plumbing, lighting, electrical and HVAC components, doors and hardware, carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring, and seating.
- Assist with the operation, inspection, and maintenance of HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other building systems.
- Complete assigned work orders and scheduled preventive maintenance. Document completed work, equipment conditions, and follow up needs.
- Provide maintenance coverage before, during, and after arena events. Respond promptly to facility issues, including equipment failures, leaks, temperature concerns, and utility interruptions, and notify the Maintenance Manager when additional support is needed.
- Assist with facility repairs, renovations, equipment installation, and improvement projects. Support contractors and service vendors with facility access and assigned work as directed.
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, lifts, forklifts, and other maintenance equipment within required training and authorization.
- Maintain tools, equipment, mechanical spaces, storage areas, and work areas in a safe, clean, and organized condition. Monitor supplies and replacement parts and communicate purchasing needs to the Maintenance Manager.
- Follow established safety procedures and applicable OSHA requirements, including personal protective equipment and lockout/tagout procedures. Promptly correct or report unsafe conditions.
- Support the Operations team with event conversions, equipment movement, facility setup, weather related activities, and other operational needs as assigned.
- Perform other assigned duties that support facility maintenance and arena operations.

Requirements

- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience in facility maintenance, mechanical maintenance, construction trades, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of general building maintenance and basic electrical, plumbing, mechanical, carpentry, and HVAC systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot problems, perform general repairs, and recognize when specialized service or supervisory guidance is needed.
- Ability to safely use hand and power tools and follow equipment instructions, work orders, maintenance schedules, and safety procedures.
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks and adjust priorities as facility needs change.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work cooperatively with employees, vendors, and contractors.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours based on facility and event needs.
- Preference given to local candidates

Preferred Qualifications

- Two or more years of commercial or institutional facility maintenance experience.
- Maintenance experience in an arena, stadium, convention center, hotel, hospital, campus, or similar facility.
- Technical or vocational training, or relevant certifications, in building maintenance or a related trade.
- Experience using computerized maintenance or work order systems.
- Experience operating forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts, or similar equipment.

Physical Demands/Working Conditions :

- Regularly lift and carry tools, equipment, and materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Stand and walk for extended periods. Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, climb stairs, and perform repetitive hand and arm movements.
- Climb and work from ladders, lifts, and approved elevated work platforms.
- Push, pull, position, and move equipment and materials.
- Work indoors and outdoors, including mechanical spaces, loading docks, backstage areas, and elevated locations.
- Work may involve exposure to loud noise, crowds, moving equipment, dust, fumes, temperature changes, and varying weather conditions.
- Perform physical tasks during daily maintenance and event operations, sometimes under time constraints.
