Essential Functions
Essential functions include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Coordinate warehouse staff.
Assign daily tasks to be completed and that the warehouse, shipping and receiving areas are orderly and follow Standard Operating Practices.
Validate inventory daily, ensuring all production has been dispositioned and is ERP system accurate.
Assure that inventory audits are performed regularly, escalating any non-reconciled discrepancies to Manager.
Ensure appropriate production level documentation is completed for all warehouse staff.
Process all shipping paperwork.
Dispatch carriers and trucks.
Ensure all packaging of raw materials are stored in their designated areas, meeting compliance standards.
Work with customer service to ensure shipments are processed daily, following all customer requirements.
Load trailers.
Consolidation of inventory to maximize capacity.
Cycle counting as needed.
Maintain warehouse; keeping all fire extinguishers and exits clear.
Prepare all documentation for FedEx and UPS shipments.
Process all packaging, raw materials and miscellaneous receipts against POs daily, ensuring they reach designated location.
Train fork-lift operators in safe operation and inspections of fork-lifts. (must have or obtain certification as a fork-lift operator).
Assist in all warehouse areas as needed: fill in for vacations, days off, etc.; work appropriate overtime as required; assist in anything needed for customers; conduct warehouse training as assigned.
Adhere to and communicate to others the Health, Safety and Quality policies, including use of PPE.
Projects as assigned accordingly.
Additional Responsibilities & Skills for our SQF Certified Sites:
Have a basic understanding of the cGMPs and Good Hygiene Personnel Practices
Notify SQF Practitioner and/or Supervisor of any repairs or adjustments that are required.
Perform Basic Sanitation Functions
Perform all duties necessary to meet Company, and Regulatory Requirements / standards as prioritized by the Company, HACCP, and SQF.
Notify SQF Practitioner/Quality Manager or any other Management personnel of ANY Food Safety or Quality issues.
Identify problems relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the raw material, processes, quality system, or safety system, by performing Production/Quality Checks as assigned.
Ability to initiate action to prevent the occurrence of nonconformities relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the product, processes, quality system, or safety system. Be able to execute and follow the HOLD SOP.
Controls further processing or delivery of nonconforming products in terms of Food Safety and Quality issues until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.
Employees follow all Food Fraud/food Defense Policies while on company property.
Thorough understanding of all Company policies, including GMPs and safety policies, HACCP & SQF.
Education & Experience
High School diploma or GED.
5-8 years related experience and/or training.
Skills-Abilities
Computer-user proficiency: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams
Sound working knowledge in ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software applications.
Ability to work with minimal direct supervision.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Effective communication skills: speaking, reading, writing.
Basic math skills - add, subtract, multiply, and divide
Effective time management and organization and planning skills.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
The employee frequently is required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
The employee is occasionally required to walk and climb or balance.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Work Environment
The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud

Compensation
The compensation entry point for this role is $78,441.00 annually. This position is eligible for a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, 401(k), tuition reimbursement, and additional ancillary benefits available upon request.
