About the role: Location Project location Mississippi

We are searching for a Construction Superintendent on behalf of our client. This is a 1-year contract assignment. (W-2) You will oversee QAQC on a battery storage job. This includes but not limited to safety oversight, receiving materials, and inspection of the mechanical and electrical construction. You will be providing technical and/or budget/financial support for the project including reviewing contract documents for a technical aspect and reviewing plant design criteria, drawings, and specifications. Travel required. We expect a functional understanding of the main criteria used to develop routing criteria across departments such as cost, engineering concerns, and common environmental constraints. You will report to the onsite manager.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for contractor monitoring and oversight of assigned work.

Primary responsibility will include route development, refinement, and field visits to verify to support overall pre-construction preparation for energy projects.

Provides technical support for project planning, including reviewing plant design criteria, contract documents, and specifications.

Supports route development and refinement for gen tie projects, conducts field visits, and ensures pre-construction preparation.

Other: Experience with geospatial applications such as Google Earth and/or GIS is preferred.

You will need to be comfortable communicating or discussing risks with various subject matter experts including Engineering & Construction, Environmental Services, Legal, Development, and Land.

You are expected to have excellent communication skills. You should have experience performing routing and siting tradeoff decisions in the presence of uncertainty.

Qualifications:

- Education: Associate degree or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Power Generation, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

- Relevant Experience: 6+ years of experience supporting technical and financial aspects of construction projects, including contractor oversight.

- Candidate should also have experience with route refinement using value engineering or other applicable concepts to optimize criteria for late-stage activities including permitting prior to construction.

- Travel within the US is expected approximately 25%.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $47.00/hr to $52.00/hr.
